In mijn lessen staat plezier in muziek maken altijd centraal. Ik geloof dat je het meest leert wanneer je je veilig, gezien en vrij voelt om te experimenteren. Daarom werk ik met een persoonlijke en positieve aanpak, waarbij elke leerling zijn of haar eigen tempo en muzikale interesses mag volgen.

Een typische les begint met een korte warming-up of technische oefening, afgestemd op het instrument of de stem. Daarna werken we aan liedjes, ideeën of projecten die de leerling zelf leuk vindt, zoals het zingen van favoriete songs, het schrijven van eigen muziek of het produceren van een track. Techniek, muzikaliteit en creativiteit lopen hierbij altijd door elkaar heen. Theorie leg ik op een praktische en begrijpelijke manier uit, zodat je die meteen kunt toepassen in je eigen muziek.

Mijn achtergrond als conservatoriumopgeleide vocalist, songwriter en producer zorgt ervoor dat ik verschillende disciplines kan combineren. Ik help leerlingen niet alleen met zang- of instrumenttechniek, maar ook met expressie, zelfvertrouwen, songwriting en het ontwikkelen van een eigen stijl. Fouten maken mag en hoort erbij: juist daar ontstaan vaak de mooiste ideeën.

De lessen zijn geschikt voor beginners én gevorderden, voor iedereen die nieuwsgierig is naar muziek en zich creatief wil ontwikkelen. In mijn thuisstudio geef ik leuke, ondersteunende en gestructureerde lessen in zang, piano, songwriting, muziekproductie en gitaar voor beginners. Elke les richt zich op een gezonde techniek, muzikaliteit, zelfvertrouwen en creativiteit, terwijl we werken aan liedjes en projecten die de leerling leuk vindt. In my home studio I offer fun, supportive, and structured lessons in singing, piano, songwriting, music production, and beginner guitar. Each lesson focuses on healthy technique, musicality, confidence, and creativity, while working on songs and projects the student enjoys. Every session is tailored to the student’s goals and personality, helping them grow musically in a positive and encouraging environment. More than 25 years of experience as a professional musician and more than 20 as a teacher and pedagogue have taught me that, alongside a technical and knowledgeable musical upbringing, my teaching can instil in the student a wide sense of musical appreciation. It is my firm belief that music connects to many other areas of learning and may even catalyse the overall pedagogical development of children.
Furthermore, my training as a classical composer/arranger and a performer of classical, jazz and world music allows me to create diverse pedagogical scenarios, which fit not just the aspirations of individual students, but also helps me to work with students collectively in ensembles and other kinds of interactive projects. - In a very calm and friendly environment, the classes are organized and planned according to the students' goals/wishes. As someone who was classically trained from age 6 to 18, I believe this is very important for the students well being.

Music is Play! and everyone is it's own game.
Read, understand and make only the music you like. I think if it isn't fun, it can't be music:)

I studied a classical piano bachelor, and later a jazz master and a live electronics master. In the meantime, I have been teaching music. It's longer than 9 years now!
Most of my students learn piano. With the starter ones, I use my own system to equally help them grow all the needed skills: body consciousness (to avoid lesions or bad habits), music theory (including writing and reading) and improvisation.
Usually most songs are made of melody, chords and rhythm. From there, I can help you understand how a song works, how is it written, how does it translate to the piano... and voilá! You'll know the song by heart, and will be able to play it a bit different every time, because you won't be following a set of pre-imposed instructions. You will understand how a small system (a song) works.
This way of learning can be applied to any song, from any century or style. Understanding is key! Play Chopin, write rock songs, play Monk, Bill Evans, the Beatles, make a lo-fi beat, play Beethoven, play the Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and Star Wars, play video game music, play salsa! bachata and make people dance, laugh or cry.
Music is very powerful!

PD: I have also experience imparting electronic music lessons in Ableton Live and Max MSP, which is now a very important part of my professional practice. In case you are interested, it is also possible to mix the two worlds and create a any kind of path between piano, synths, beats and home studio techniques.

Hello everyone!

My musical journey began when I was just four years old, starting with the piano. Later, at the age of seven, I eagerly embraced the violin, adding its enchanting melodies to my repertoire.

I achieved a professional mid-grade in both piano and violin. Fueled by my love for music, I moved to Rotterdam, Netherlands, to pursue a Bachelor's degree at Codarts University of Arts. Under the guidance of teachers like Natasha Morozova and Hed Yaron Meyerson, I refined my skills and nurtured my artistic vision.

After completing my Bachelor's studies, I continued my musical exploration in Codarts' Master's program. Alongside my classical training, I've always been intrigued by the therapeutic potential of music. In 2023, I earned certification in Music Therapy, expanding my horizons and deepening my connection to the healing power of music.

In collaboration with my colleagues, I am member of the Olga Trio. Our mission is to highlight the works of women composers throughout history. Our debut performance at the IV Concurso Nacional de Interpretación de Obras de Mujeres Compositoras was a proud moment, affirming our commitment to amplifying diverse voices in music.

Beyond classical music, I've always been drawn to exploring different genres and styles. As a member of the Jong Metropole Orchestra in 2023, I relished the opportunity to collaborate with musicians from diverse backgrounds, pushing the boundaries of traditional musical conventions.

In every note I play and every project I undertake, my passion for music shines through. It's a journey of exploration, growth, and discovery, and I'm excited to continue sharing my love for music with the world.

I've been teaching during the last 8 years. I am flexible with the students needs and I embrace fun and creativity in my lessons.
