I’m Aslihan, a Turkish flautist. I have been teaching flute for about 25 years.The lessons are either in English, or Turkish and suitable for all levels and ages. Playing the flute and being intertwined with music is so beautiful that there is no age limit for this. I have experience in preparing for ABRSM exams too. I have students from Norway and Holland.

I formed a flute group with my students with whom we give free concerts to children with autism. Among my students are engineers, musicians or bankers from all ages.

Jawa (1996) a Syrian oud player, singer and composer.
I was born in Aleppo, and I grew up in Damascus, Syria. I started playing music at the age of eleven. I chose the Oud as my instrument because my father used to play it everyday at home when I was young. Gradually, I fell in love with it and now I feel an unlimited feeling of freedom while playing it. Graduated from Rotterdam Conservatory in 2021.

In this course, we will dive together into learning each musical instrument through an integrated approach that enhances your technical skills and satisfies your passion for music.

In Oud, we will focus on:

Musical Maqams: Deepen your understanding of Arabic Maqams and how to apply them to playing. Musical Notes: Learn to read and perform notes on the oud with skill. Pick Exercises: Improve playing techniques using a pick to develop movement between the strings. Technique Exercises: Build playing skills through various exercises to improve speed and accuracy. Oriental Songs: Learn to play the most famous oriental tunes and songs to be able to give a distinctive performance. Musical Pieces: Study traditional and contemporary oriental pieces while developing individual performance skills.

As for the piano, we will focus on:

Musical Notes: Learn to read and write notes easily while improving your musical skills. Musical Scales: Study major and minor scales and their effect on playing pieces. Chords: Learn to build different chords and how to use them in playing. Western and Eastern Pieces: Present a mix of Western and Eastern pieces that enhance your skills and develop your artistic taste. In guitar, we will learn:

In oriental singing, we will learn:
