I have over 3 years violin teaching experirnce, teaching students of varying ages and standards, and also offer the lesson in Mandarin. I help students work towards ABRSM exams or towards their own goals, also teaching who aren’t interested in exams and wish to learn for fun. I make different plans for different students. My teaching style is friendly and relaxed. But I have certain requirements for my students.

I am a Chinese violinist based in London. I graduated her master degree (violin performance) from Royal College of Music in 2022. Currently, I would love to do various performances in London, including solo, chamber music and orchestra, and also teach my students how to express themselves via their violin.

I began to play the violin at 5 years old and admitted to the conservatory of music middle school of at age of 11. I have won the first prize of ‘the Asia Music Competition’ and ‘the Hong Kong international competition’. She is also the violinist in the Elegy trio and they won the second prize of ‘ Best Rachmaninoff Performance (6th Edition, 2022) at Composers Competition Series’. Furthermore, I have performed many concerts in RCM orchestra, London Firebird orchestra and Fidelio orchestra. I have also taken part in masterclass with Midori Goto, Boris Kuschnir, Zakhar Bron and so on.

I have a Bachelor and a Master degree from Geneva Hight school of music. I worked in many of orchestras in Geneva and abroad. I am also a soloist. I give lessons online by skype or by facebook, only online, in english or in french. If you need some basics in solfege, i give also solfege online.

For the more experienced, polyphony and difficult passages can be approached with different tools, by awareness of harmony and melodic modes and polyrhythm. Sometimes it is enough to be aware of simplicity to overcome difficult passages.

I push to go further in the quality of the interpretation with simple means to better understand the music and thus allow more expressiveness and freedom.

I also offer improvisation, harmony,
lessons in musical ensembles, especially vocal polyphony for children, and lessons for specific needs, for example just intonation for singers or other instruments.

I have been coaching children and adults, both amateurs and professionals, in various settings: music schools, academies, theatre workshops and privately. My main subject is classical singing, but I can help with any style of singing, from jazz, pop to musical theater. My teaching method is easy and fun. My hope is to inspire my student with my passion for singing and help them achieve their dreams.

Being an internationally performing violinist, with a masters degree from both the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp, I have a lot of knowledge and experience that I’ve been sharing with students over the past years and that I’d love to share with more!

A big part of my teaching has developed through my own learning journey with the violin. In learning the violin, I value the importance of technique as well as creative, musical development. During a lesson I will therefore touch on technical exercises according to the students needs, improvisation to stimulate creativity and work on musical pieces. We will, during weekly lessons, work towards reaching the student’s goals with high quality results. My approach is tailored to each individual student and above all, encouraging.

Additionally, I have experience working towards ABRSM grade exams amongst other assessments. I can fluently teach in English, Dutch and French.

Together, we’ll build the foundations that will allow you to play freely, rather than feeling restricted by technique.
