About Me

A true class should leave you with a new experience you couldn't find anywhere else.

Words carry us, our culture and tradition, through language. They can be tasteless or tasteful, sound like poetry or a wrecked car, make us feel in Heaven or Hell. This is why we should always learn languages hand in hand with its peoples' history. This is what I care about, I want to teach Spanish in a way people can find its beauty and enjoy its diversity.

Are you a visual learner? Logical learner? Any other type of learner? My classes suit your needs and your own process of learning. You can start by taking a class, where we can figure out the course that will work better for you. Maybe you want to take the fun path, or maybe you want the methodical path that will get you through a DELE test. It is all acceptable.

I do not think everyone needs grammar to speak a new language, but I also believe one should not look at grammar with an ill heart. It should not be something to learn as hard inflexible rules, for it actually is what explains the mystery of how a language came to life and keeps breathing.

Through my Spanish classes, I want to give something that people won't forget and that it's about life itself rather than just empty information. I can talk endlessly about literature, art, films, words, etc. And it's always ok to not say things correctly, I understand we are all always learning and will never judge, only teach how to say it better.

Experience / Qualifications

Learning Spanish is a very useful tool, the knowledge that Spanish and Hispanic culture will offer you is invaluable. You will be able to find great job opportunities and widen your career's possibilities; travel the world and talk to many different people; learn something beautiful and be a part of this world's diversity. In this class, you will begin to learn Spanish with many useful tools so it doesn't become overwhelming. This a very complete and competitive course where you will learn how to say simple sentences, verb tenses (present, past, and future), adjectives, adverbs, questions (why, what, where, how), and other useful tools like asking for prices and directions. You will also learn many interesting facts that will help you learn better and faster, like why does Spanish sound the way it does, where does it come from and what are the secrets behind its words.
There are a lot of reasons to learn a new language: being able to communicate better with people from different cultures; new job options; acquiring new knowledge; being able to read and watch movies in another language, and so on. Culture and tradition are what makes us rich. Being able to learn from a new one is a beautiful thing. Spanish is spoken in 21 different countries, imagine the possibilities that come with this language. There's so much literature, history, traditions, music, comedy, words, and words to learn. In this class, I am going to focus on teaching you this side of Spanish, the one that makes it fun, beautiful, and diverse. I will teach you about our tradition in Arts, literature, filmography, and music. Also about how politics have worked through our history, and how history has shaped us as people. I will talk about how diverse our dialects and words can be, teaching you our idioms, expressions, and all of the things you cannot learn in a simplified workbook. Why do we talk the way we talk? Why does it sound different when you say it and how can you improve that? Why do we have so many verb tenses? How do letters such as H, LL, and Ñ work, and where do they come from? This is not the class where you will learn Spanish the usual way, rather a space to learn to love its roots and take it to a higher level of practice. This is where you can bring all of your curiosities and find new ones. This is where you will find new conversation topics, and you will practice your Spanish in a more realistic way without being afraid of any judgment. The class also shapes itself to your own interests and needs. I will focus on the skills and information you desire to acquire.

It includes all the knowledge you will need to pass a DELE test. *Disclaimer: you do not have to purchase all 60 hours, but for all A1 level to be considered complete, you must master all of its content. To read is to think. When you learn how to read in a foreign language, you are also learning how to think in a said language without the need to translate every word. This means that reading helps you become more fluent and less literal. Besides that, there is so much literature to be found in the Spanish language! there are 21 countries full of diversity, culture, and tradition. There is a lot to find, learn and enjoy in Hispanic and Latin American literature. I graduated from Letters -or Literature- in the Universidad Central de Venezuela, so this is my specialty, and I have so many beautiful and fun books to share with you! This class works as some sort of reading and conversational club: -I will send you a variety of books -that suit your taste- for you to read at home, then I will guide you through the reading I made as a native speaker and an avid reader. -We will share points of view, practicing oral Spanish as well. -I will help you improve your vocabulary by focusing on the words we read. -You will learn new idioms and expressions, as well as dialectal and social differences between our people. -You get to solve any of the doubts you've had while reading in Spanish. -We will have a lot of fun with many amazing authors that are very important to our culture.

Private French lessons for adults and teenagers with native French speaker in Co. Mayo
For the past two decades, I've had the privilege of tutoring in both French and English. My students have ranged in age, background, and origin, spanning children, teenagers, adults, professionals, and even seniors aged 85 and above. You might wonder why I teach both languages. Well, I am bilingual, with American and Swiss/French roots, and I currently reside in Ireland. This unique blend of experiences equips me with a strong and relevant teaching approach. I possess an intimate understanding of both cultures, enabling me to tailor my classes to the specific needs of my students. My teaching journey began during my time studying social work in French-speaking Switzerland. I started offering private French and English lessons to supplement my income, and I quickly discovered my passion for it. Even after graduating and embarking on a full-time career, I couldn't bear to give up this rewarding activity. I cherished the opportunity to connect with diverse individuals and assist them in achieving their language goals. In my teaching methodology, interactivity takes center stage. I employ a variety of engaging learning tools, including photos, newspaper articles, music, videos, and more. My approach is highly adaptable, with a focus on addressing each student's unique priorities. Some seek to refine their pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary, while others require assistance with presentations or speeches for school or work. Some simply aspire to acquire a new language to enrich their general knowledge. I also specialize in teaching younger children, a testament to my educational background and experience. What you will gain from my courses extends beyond impeccable pronunciation and enhanced vocabulary and grammar. You'll also acquire a profound understanding of the culture associated with each language. When speaking a language, it's essential to appreciate the lifestyle, traditions, and heritage of the nations where it thrives. French and English are spoken as primary languages in numerous countries worldwide, each with its own unique accent and cultural nuances. The learning process is limitless! In addition to my language instruction, I'm a genealogist and host spiritual (non-religious) seminars in the beautiful West of Ireland. My passion for vegetarian and vegan cuisine adds a flavorful dimension to my life. Furthermore, I hold a degree in Early Childhood Education and have operated a private "Before & Afterschool" facility along with Summer Camps catering to children aged 4 to 12 for many years. I am genuinely excited about the prospect of meeting and working with you!

Kevin
Polyglot specialist with 9 years of experience. German in speed mode. Level A1 to C2. No school teaching.
I offer you a German course that is not like the others. There are two types of courses. Here is an analogy to illustrate their respective approaches: If you travel back and forth by train every day and don't have time to wait long at the platform, imagine that you only have two options: 1) Memorise the timetable. 2) Realise that the train comes every ten minutes and that a train arrives for example at 7:00 a.m. In school pedagogy, in textbooks and in normal lessons, the first approach is used - in the course I am offering you, it is the second approach because it is more economical and faster. My offer is aimed at both pupils and adults who want to learn the German language without time-consuming detours through the madness of fruitless school methods. Learning is easy, but unlearning things that have become bad habits is extremely difficult. This makes it all the more important to learn the right reflexes as early as possible. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced learner, with my customised lessons you will greatly accelerate the learning process while having a positive attitude. I offer German lessons for individuals or groups (2 to 5 people). The methods are based on cognitive science and historical linguistics in particular. My modular programme can be adapted on a case-by-case basis. The converging point of these modules is your independence in spontaneous conversations in real life. What will not be covered in the course: learning lists of verbs; learning lists of nouns with articles; learning words with their translations; flashcards; doing school exercises; following the syllabus of a booklet; imposing the English grammar on the German language. What is particularly important to me: to motivate my student and to give him a learning rhythm; to encourage his creativity; to befriend him with the language; the letters and their sounds; to strengthen the memory by training the phonological loop; to teach blueprints instead of memorising sentences; to explain how the language works in order to make my student independent as quickly as possible; to eliminate common preconceptions, such as that 'der' would mean masculine and 'die' feminine, that the accusative would be a direct complement and the dative an indirect complement, that verbs would be irregular, that declension would be random and therefore would have to be learnt with each verb...; to put practice at the centre and only deal with grammar where necessary. A first lesson will give you a sound idea of my pedagogy.

✨French teacher - Pass the DELF or DALF (French diploma) - Individual or group session. ✨
Hello, I am Majda, French language teacher. I have been giving private lessons online since 2018. I offer special sessions that meet your needs and objectives to successfully complete your DELF (Diplôme d'Etudes en Langue Française) or DALF (Advanced Diploma in French Language), including the TCF (French Knowledge Test). I have been supporting many interested people of different nationalities thanks to online courses since 2018; For me, helping enthusiasts to practice the French language is a very good experience because I understand that success is a capital objective in the life of ambitious people. I speak Arabic, French, Spanish, and also English. I explain my lessons in the language of your choice. And at the end of each session, I give lessons with exercises to do as homework to examine your gaps and monitor your progress. Here are some things to know about the DELF and DALF: The DELF (Diploma of Studies in French Language) and the DALF (Advanced Diploma in French Language) are two official and quality diplomas. They are harmonized on the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. They include the following six levels, in ascending order: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2. These two diplomas are suitable for all ages and all audiences. In addition, the DELF B2, and increasingly the DALF C1, allow students to enter French, European or French-speaking universities, and certain Grandes Ecoles. Will you have DELF or DALF exams to pass? Do you need to follow specific sessions with me to improve your level? Don't hesitate to book your sessions so that we can start the preparation. I am available !

Spanish & English Lessons with Erika in Belgium :)
Teaching is my passion, and as a native speaker, I've had the pleasure of connecting with students worldwide, starting from my experiences in the Czech Republic where I used to teach English to children. We can delve into the intricacies of communication, focusing on what matters to you. I prepare students for tests like DELE and SIELE, tailoring my approach to your unique goals—whether it's acing an exam, exploring the world, or simply diving into language and culture. My lessons take a casual twist—we might stroll around, grab a coffee or tea, and make learning an enjoyable experience. The best part for me is when students express gratitude for our time together. I believe language is more than just words, and I look forward to sharing my perspective with you. Can't wait to meet you and start this language journey together!
