Artikels, boeken, columns, filmscripts, persberichten, radiospots, recensies, tv-scenario’s en simpelweg copywriting met SEO: de meesten van ons hebben zich al wel eens geprobeerd om een of meerdere van dat soort schrijfsels uit de (virtuele) pen te persen. Toch blijkt het niet altijd even simpel te zijn om goede teksten af te leveren. De ene heeft geweldige ideeën, maar kan ze niet omzetten in (al dan niet digitale) inkt; de ander is creatief, maar maakt te veel spelfouten; en een derde soort persoon is een taalnazi, maar slaagt er niet in om vloeiende, natuurlijk aanvoelende dialogen te verzinnen. De schrijfcursus van biedt soelaas.

Zo kan je niet alleen leren acteren, maar ook proeven van onze cursussen debat- en presentatietechnieken (onze tv-cursus), communicatie, zang, improvisatie, 'physical acting', leugendetectie, hypnose, regie, of schrijven! Natuurlijk blijft wel gelden: hoe meer je 1 bepaalde cursus volgt, hoe sneller je vooruitgaat.

Onze schrijfcursus

Onze cursus bestrijkt alle mogelijke teksten en kan zowel privé als in kleine groep gevolgd worden. Bovendien leren we je vooral aan waar jij geïnteresseerd in bent. Tijdens ons eerste gesprek hebben we het uitvoerig over jouw doelen, waarna we de volledige cursus toespitsen op wat jij precies wilt en nodig hebt. Alle leeftijden en niveaus zijn bij ons welkom, dus ontvangen we je ook als je nog helemaal geen ervaring hebt of vooral bijles nodig hebt met open armen!

Over onze coach

Zeker weten: onze hoofdcoach is van alle markten thuis. Hij schreef zijn eerste boek, de sciencefantasy IJs, de verloren planeet, toen hij 11 was. De roman werd drie jaar later uitgegeven, wat Dirk onder andere de culturele meriteprijs van zijn stad en items op zowat alle nationale tv-zenders en radiostations opleverde, alsook artikels in elke toonaangevende krant en een groot aantal magazines. Dirk werd later ook de allereerste Vlaamse auteur waarvan boeken die hij zelf in het Engels had gepend uitgebracht werden door Amerikaanse uitgeverijen: Fates Worse than Death: Hunter door Vajra Enterprises en Baour, Strands of Death door BlackWyrm Publishing.

Tussendoor werd Dirk journalist. Hij schreef – of schrijft nog steeds – voor ‘fanzines’, magazines, kranten en websites als Zita, Skynet, The Fighting Bard, Mandragon, Dreun, Mindview, Keys & Chords, Bello Magazine, De Zondag, Doorgelicht.be, MetalBorn, BeauSense Magazine, PDF’zines, GameJunks, Rpg.net, de Delta Gids, Cerberus, Cerberus Too, Cerberus Food & Lifestyle, Wellness Insight, Care Insight, Move On, Cult of Cool, Cult of Chic en Cult of Design. Dankzij zijn brede interessesfeer kon hij zowat overal terecht om gepassioneerd over zijn favoriete onderwerpen te schrijven, maar er is meer.

Voor pr-bureau Oskaar en later voor zijn eigen pr-bureau, Badass pr, schreef Dirk honderden persberichten – voornamelijk voor films, televisiereeksen, de horeca en verschillende goede doelen. Voor zijn klanten verzorgt hij ook tal van nieuwsbrieven en sociale media.

Dirk is reeds sinds zijn twintigste – toen hij nog psychologie volgde aan de K.U.L. – coach en heeft als acteerleraar en scenarist meerdere film- en kortfilmscripts geschreven. Ook zijn er al tal van radiospots uit zijn brein gerold. De meest opzienbarende opdracht kwam er echter toen Modiphius Entertainment – de grootste onafhankelijke producent en distributeur van rollenspelen ter wereld – hem aanwierf om het filmscript en de audioplay voor Achtung! Cthulhu te schrijven. Die vielen zo goed in de smaak dat hij momenteel de volledige audioreeks van Achtung! Cthulhu aan het afwerken is. Bovendien is hij druk bezig met Iron Sky: The Roleplaying Game, dat omwille van het fet dat de tweede film veel later werd uitgebracht dan verwacht, problemen met de filmproducties, de dood van een van de twee hoofdschrijvers en de coronacrisis heel wat vertraging heeft opgelopen, maar volgend jaar zal uitgebracht worden tijdens de grootste rollenspelconventie ter wereld, Gen Con in Indianapolis.

Over jou

Tijdens onze schrijfcursus gaat het vanzelfsprekend niet om ons, maar om jou en om jou schrijfsels! Er zijn maar weinig dingen waar we zoveel plezier aan beleven als zien hoe iemand vooruit gaat en zijn of haar passies kan beleven. Daarom steken we ook vaak een tandje bij na de les en blijven we jou ondersteunen, wat voor teksten je ook wilt schrijven!

Ik geef al lange tijd privé muzieklessen en fortepiano. Naast mijn klassieke muziekopleiding in 2000, heb ik mijn bachelor in psychopedagogie in 2006 afgehaald. Dit jaar ben ik geïnteresseerd in het uitbreiden van mijn praktijk met meer leerlingen met speciale behoeften.
Ik heb geleerd over de verschillende manieren waarop muziek leerlingen met speciale behoeften kan helpen. Het helpt hen hun emoties te uiten en hun herinneringen en zelfregulerende vaardigheden te ontwikkelen.
Het kan hen sterke punten laten zien die ze anders misschien niet zouden vinden tijdens hun schooldag. Het kan ook hun ogen openen voor een hele wereld van expressie en schoonheid, waardoor hun leven wordt verrijkt.
Ik zoek uit wat voor een bepaalde student werkt, wat hen afleidt, wat hen motiveert, wat hen helpt zich te concentreren en soms gewoon te leren hoe ze zich tot hen kunnen verhouden.

Hi, my name is Jim. I'm an electronic music producer with a Master’s degree in Music from the Fontys Academy of Arts (Rockacademie) in Tilburg, Netherlands. Music has always been my way of exploring the world — through raw field recordings, synthesis, and emotional storytelling. Over the past 12 years, I’ve developed a complete, self-sufficient creative process: from concept to composition, sound design to vocal production, mixing, mastering, and live performance. I’m passionate about helping others gain those same end-to-end technical skills — so they can bring their own musical vision fully to life.

As Malvae, I’ve written, sung, recorded, produced, mixed, mastered, and performed all of my work. My music reached #17 in the Spotify Viral 50 charts in the USA, gathered millions of streams, and featured in international film productions including King of the Streets and Netflix’s Terrace House Japan. One of the most formative moments in my career was my Amazonas album project, where I traveled into the Amazon rainforest to record and manipulate natural sounds. 90% of that album was created entirely from these field recordings, reshaped through granular synthesis and advanced sound design into a cohesive sonic journey. That experience deeply shaped how I approach my music and how I teach sound design and composition.

I’ve headlined shows at iconic venues like Melkweg Amsterdam with immersive, self-built audiovisual live sets using Ableton Live, modular gear, sequencers, and Resolume for live integrated visuals. I curated my own events and performed at venues like A’dam Tower, OT301. I also teach at studios such as Wisseloord in Hilversum, guiding students through the technical and creative intersections of sound and performance.

Selected Works & Collaborations:

My EP Like Bees to a Hive began as a soundscape for fashion brand Lobomar’s collection Final Orders, Please, presented at the Amsterdam World Museum. I collaborated with South African poet Julia-Beth Harris, integrating her spoken word into a seamless, atmospheric release. From sequential Prophet 6 textures to ADX1 drum machine layers and detailed field recordings, I handled every layer, from concept through multitrack production to the final live performance in London.

My Chrysalis EP, released as a limited-edition heavyweight red vinyl, pushed that even further, combining ethereal vocals, analog grit, and unique textures to craft an emotionally rich release. I personally led every part of the project’s technical and creative execution, from arrangement and vocal production to final mixing, mastering and vinyl press preparation.

In addition to my own projects, I’ve worked as a vocal producer and mixing engineer, including on Esther Veen’s EP Before I Go, where I handled recording, complex vocal layering, creative processing, production, multivocal arrangement and final mixing to deliver a polished, high-impact sound.

Muziekproductie en opnametechniek lijkt op het eerste zicht ingewikkeld, maar in onze 1-op-1 privé-lessen kunnen we de creatieve én technische tools overlopen die jij nodig hebt om je eigen creativiteit de vrije loop te laten.

Of het nu gaat om songwriting, opname technieken of beats maken, we kunnen het allemaal samen doen. Alle genres zijn welkom.
Tijdens de lessen kunnen we leren werken met verschillende programma’s, zoals Logic, Pro Tools of Ableton.
De lessen zijn voor leerlingen van alle leeftijden en niveau’s. Kennis van notenleer is niet vereist.

Zelf heb ik gitaar en muziekproductie gestudeerd op het Conservatorium in Gent en ben ik al verschillende jaren actief als professioneel muzikant. Ik heb al 12 jaar ervaring als privé-leerkracht.

Lessen gaan door in Gentbrugge dichtbij het Keizerpark.

Eyal has taught hundreds of students over the past 15 years, both guitar and piano next to music theory and composition. Besides his formal music education (a bachelor's in composition, a teaching degree from the music academy in Jerusalem, and a master's in composition from Codarts, Rotterdam), Eyal has acquired experience in a wide range of various musical styles, including Rock, Blues, Jazz, classical music, electronic music, and contemporary music, on which he bases his rich approach which can be adjusted to every student separately.

Do you dream of making your own beats and sounds and compose them into your own electronic dance music track, but don't know where to start? Or maybe you already made your bangers but want to perform them live for your fans?Don't worry, I got you covered!

For the past 10 years I have been using Ableton Live for sound design and composition to pursue my own style.
For me the inspiration was in breakcore, dub, psytrance, hardcore, tekno, classical music, punk, metal, ... but for you it can be something completely different. Maybe you know exactly what you want to achieve. If not, we can explore together where the adventure of music production will take you.

It doesn't matter if you are just starting from scratch, or if you already learned some things but want to dive deeper into the software. For Advanced students, I also teach modular audio synthesis with the free software VCV Rack.
