I plan individualised practice routines for each student that are comfortable, enjoyable and train different areas of music: Instrument technique, sound and intonation, rhythm, improvisation, sight-reading, learning different styles of music, etc.

My first musical steps started at an early age, as I was born into a family of musicians.

Today I have two higher educations from Zurich and Brussels as a saxophonist and graduated from music college in Latvia as a pianist.

After 9 years of teaching experience, it is more important to me than ever to pick up each student where they are and to recognise and encourage their own (musical) personality. As a classical saxophonist, I also attach great importance to the technical basis (solid air support and sound) and the earliest possible integration into different music styles.

I have experience in teaching both at a private level and in schools and training programs in both music and languages (Spanish / English). I have worked with both children and adults in the preparation of official exams. I am a graduate from Music in the specialty of Piano at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and work both as a teacher and professional musician.

I offer piano/theory/ear training classes at all levels and ages with more than 5 years of experience in academies, schools and private classes. My method is flexible since my students have different personalities, interests, needs or objectives, adding auditory training, music theory or dynamic methods if I am teaching children, I always adapt as they are private classes.
I believe that the piano is one of the most important and special instruments to learn and I love sharing my passion for music with my students, I believe it is the best way to learn and teach.
As for my studies, I finished my bachelor's degree in classical piano and am now studying a master's degree in contemporary music at the University of Lucerne, so I can play and teach different styles and periods of music!

I'm a cellist from Portugal currently studying Master's degree in Classical Music Performance at Hochschule Luzern. I've been teaching cello to all ages and levels since I was 16 years old. I have taught at Academy environments but also as a private tutor in person or via the internet (skype, zoom, etc). My goal is to make my students understand and love music as much as I do, in an exciting, fun, and motivating way. I am a cello teacher so If you are looking for cello lessons in Luzern, I would be glad to meet you.
It doesn’t matter if you are starting to learn the cello or if you never played it. Music can be fun to learn and explore and I would love to show you that during my lessons.

I am fluent in German, Portuguese, Spanish and English.

The lessons can have the duration of 30, 45, 60, 90 or 120 mins. They can also be online, at my location or at the students location. According to each person needs and preferences.

The main goal of these lessons will be to help you reach your expectations as a cello player and as a musician, either you want to delve into improvisation, methodology or just prepare for an exam I do my best to adapt my lessons to your needs. Also along the way I hope I can help you discover new works or music genres and also help you understand musical notation.

The most important part is that you improve and learn how to express yourself through music regularly and have fun with that knowledge.
My lessons and teachings are never the same. I don’t follow just a method or a “Cello Schule”. I insert a lot of different subjects, games and improvisation during lessons to make them more creative and fun.

Every student has their individual needs and my teaching focuses on that. In the end I just want you to feel good playing the cello, develop your ear, sense of rhythm and find a way to combine your daily life with music learning in a creative way!

Hello! My name is Isabel, I am a Spanish cellist. I love teaching, I also learn a lot from it, and I have experience teaching both children and adults in institutions such as the Music School of Lugano.
In my lessons I focus on building a good physical and mental relationship with the instrument in order to learn how to handle it healthily and effectively. Always apply theory in connection with practice.

My name is Malu, saxophone player and teacher from Spain. I studied my Bachelor in Zaragoza (Spain), and then moved to Switzerland to study my Master. From September I will start a Master in Contemporary Music at HSLU.

In the field of teaching I have 3 years of experience in Spain: I used to teach saxophone and theory in music schools and I also used to give private lessons. I consider myself very open when it comes to teach: I like to personalize my teaching depending on the student’s level, goals and tastes, although I always remain confidently when it comes to the playing technique!
