About Me

Hey, my name is Maria. I have a master’s degree in Art and Fashion Design from University UTB in Czech Republic. I traveled a lot and working on art in various locations around the world. I had art studio in Provincetown Massachusetts. Most of my current art work is inspired of this lovely artistic place. For many year I was working there with whales in the nature. And this information might not be art connected but it is definitely something that describe me a lot. Art is a big part of my life and I am looking forward to teach art and lead to creativity.
Let's be creative together. I have a master’s degree in Fashion Design and Art from University UTB in Czech Republic. I had fashion shows in different countries and fashion internship in Provincetown Massachusetts. Happy to teach basic sewing or help create fashion collection.

Art & Creativity: From basic skills to elaborating narratives
I am a multidisciplinary artist and designer with fifteen years of experience. I studied art and architecture at the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and the Columbia University in New York. I teach painting, drawing, digital image and creativity. This class is ideal for beginners but also intermediate students who want to develop their own style. For my personal projects, I work in a wide range of mediums, from drawing, painting and printmaking to digital image and 3D Printing. When teaching, I prefer to first focus on free-hand drawing and painting as this allows for greater spontaneity regardless of the student's technical level. We later explore other methods based on the student's individual interests. I like to teach children and adults via mini projects involving art history references and help them develop narratives around their work. I deeply believe in people's creative potential and in my classes will help you channel your own voice.

Idris
Painting Tutor: Discover and develop your artistic language
I am an artist and philosopher from Amsterdam currently living in Antwerp. I studied in London where I acquired a BA from Art Academy London and a BA in philosophy from St Mary's University London. Artistic development starts by identifying your artistic interest. As artists, we don’t always know why we draw and paint the things that we do. Yet they are not random. What captivates us or draws us towards certain artworks? This might be the tonal way in which light reflects, structural forms or mathematical division. The point being, is that we all have such aesthetic interests and step 1 is finding out what interests you! Step 2 is helping you express your interests through painting techniques, styles and materiality. But it all starts with you. What do you want to say? And how? I will help you do this through discussion, looking at your previous work (if you have any), introducing you to a LARGE variety of artists, potentially copying their styles. I adjust my classes according to your needs. The goal is simple: to come to understand your artistic interest, help you find techniques to express them and develop your artistic language. (Please note that just because you have found an artistic interest and a way to express it, it does not mean that you must do only one thing for the rest of your life. It is the downfall of creativity to repeat and paint the same way over and over again. Instead, allow your interests to drive your creativity. Let it be the starting point, venture out and discover it from various angles and ways of expressing it. But also be mindful that as we grow our interests can change and as they change, we must remain honest and respond accordingly such that our artistic language can also grow.) Have questions? Don’t hesitate to message me! I can tailor a class to your needs :)
