Have you wanted to learn to play the piano for some time or do you want to teach your child to play the piano? My name is Faye, I've been playing the piano since the age of 6 years and have always been very passionate about music.

I offer lessons for children and adults from beginners to intermediate level. Styles: Pop, world, improv, and classical music. Lessons are a good musical basis for any style you wish to pursue.

My method tries to tailor to the needs of the student so that lessons are engaging structured and follow the natural curiosity and capabilities of the students.
It also focuses a lot on developing the students overall musical abilities such as internalizing sound and rhythm.

Music making is something to be enjoyed and experienced besides the practice that goes into perfecting the art of piano playing. The content of the lessons always aims to reflect this mindset so that a student can become independently fluent and capable not just to imitate and practice but to really experience, understand, feel and enjoy the music throughout their learning experience.

Hello! My name is Alberto. I am a clarinet player who graduated from Codarts University of the Arts (Rotterdam). I am specialized in Classical Music, though I can teach also Jazz in a beginner to intermediate level.

I have always had a deep interest in chamber music, teaching and improvisation and I would like to be able to show you this passion.
The focus of my lessons is to show the possibilities of music, adapting to the student needs, going from clarinet technique to theory, other styles of music such us Klezmer, Jazz, basic piano, as well as learning how to play the bass clarinet.

Ik ben een professionele klassieke pianist, begeleider, maker en componist met een bachelordiploma van het Conservatorium van Amsterdam en een masterdiploma van het Koninklijk Conservatorium in Den Haag. Al 7 jaar geef ik les aan studenten van alle niveaus tussen de 5 en 60 jaar oud.

De lessen zijn gebaseerd op uw niveau, interesses en doelen. Samen kunnen we uitzoeken of je meer van klassiek repertoire houdt, of dat je je favoriete popmuziek wilt spelen, een mooie soundtrack van een film die je leuk vindt of nieuwe stukken wilt componeren/improviseren. Met mijn ervaring in het lesgeven van verschillende genres, help ik je de muziek te ontdekken die je leuk vindt.

De centrale pijlers waar ik altijd mee werk zijn techniek en creativiteit, die veel meer met elkaar verbonden zijn dan je zou verwachten! Terwijl we verder gaan, introduceer ik ook de basis (of dieper, als je geïnteresseerd bent) van muziektheorie om te leren communiceren met elkaar in muzikale termen (akkoorden, toetsen, partituur lezen, etc.). En bovenal is het doel om te genieten en plezier te hebben!

In this lesson you will get deep knowledge and understanding of music. Either you are a complete beginner, an instrumental performer, or you want to prepare for entrance exams into a music conservatories, these classes are perfect for you. Together we are going to read, listen and analyze music and work towards understanding it in a musical, structural and compositional level. Hallo, ik ben Sacha! Ik ben een vioolleraar uit Tenerife (Canarische Eilanden, Spanje).

Momenteel ben ik viooldocent bij Strijkdomein, Gelderlanschool, Vuurvlinder en Het Klooster (Woerden). Ik werk ook als studie-coach bij Jong Talent in Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag.

Ik heb mijn Bachelor of Music als violist behaald aan de Alfonso X El Sabio Universiteit (Madrid). Later heb ik de opleiding tot violist en docent voortgezet in Bloomington (Indiana) onder leiding van Mauricio Fuks gedurende 3 jaar. Onlangs heb ik mijn masterdiploma behaald aan het Koninklijk Conservatorium in Den Haag, onder leiding van Ilona Sieh Dhian Ho.

Mijn vioollessen bij Apprentus zijn bedoeld om plezier te hebben in het muziek maken en tegelijkertijd beter te worden in het bespelen van dit prachtige instrument! Iedereen, alle niveaus en leeftijden zijn welkom bij mijn lessen! Ik zie mezelf als een flexibele en geïnteresseerde viooldocent die luistert naar de behoeften van elk van zijn leerlingen en wat zij muzikaal interessant vinden. Wat mijn vioolmethodiek betreft, werk ik met de lesmethoden van Suzuki en Galamian, die ik combineer met een breed spectrum aan vioolstukken die geleidelijk worden opgebouwd van beginners tot meer gevorderde spelers. Music has always been my biggest passion and I really enjoy sharing it with other people. My main music genres are pop, rnb, ballades, a bit of jazz, and soul.
I can read musical notes, but I mainly play by ear (which can be learned too!). I am into music theory and how it helps to understand what one hears and plays.

Welcome to my profile. I am Rui and I teach piano. The piano is known as the most complete musical instrument of all. This is because when playing it we can get all kinds of characters and sounds: very deep basses or super soft high notes; delicate melodies or dense harmonies (almost like an orchestra sometimes). This is one of the reasons why I love to play the piano, its versatility adapts to my everyday mood.
I would love to show you the wonders we can create with this amazing instrument!

Lessons
Every student is different, and by saying this I mean that I prepare every lesson specifically for each student. Some might be more shy, others might need more time to acknowledge some questions.
I believe that music (much like everything else) should be taught with patience and motivation.
You shouldn’t feel like you’re going against time, it should be the opposite. As a teacher, I always give priority to your motivation and excitement regarding the lesson’s activity. If I see that a student is not enjoying the lesson I have to improvise and turn it around.

When teaching, the most important thing for me is that you learn while having fun.
I have already some years of experience in giving piano lessons to people of all ages. I adapt the lesson content for every student individually, and I always give them the freedom to follow their musical taste and instincts. I also give a lot of focus to creativity and improvisation.
At the end of the lesson, I usually save a few minutes for the student to decide what he/she wants to do: maybe a little 4-hand improvisation, or maybe play a piece they have already learned and that they enjoy playing.

About me
Most of my studies and experience as a teacher took place in Portugal. I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Piano Performance in 2020.
I moved to The Netherlands in 2020 to attend the Master Program in Classical Piano Performance in the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague.
My academic studies were built on classical music but I also have some experience in pop and rock music.

Ik ben een professionele freelance violist, gevestigd in Nederland, gepassioneerd in mijn werk als docent en als performer. Qua opleiding heb ik een bachelordiploma Klassieke Viool en drie masterdiploma’s in vioolspel, van Katarina Gurska (Madrid, Spanje), Prins Claus Conservatorium (Groningen, Nederland) en het Koninklijk Conservatorium van Den Haag (Den Haag, Nederland), A Gedurende mijn hele opleiding heb ik altijd gekozen voor keuzevak- en praktijkonderwijs.

Heb je altijd al viool willen spelen? Of misschien houdt uw kind van muziek en zou het graag een instrument willen leren bespelen? Dit zou dus een geweldige kans voor u kunnen zijn om die wens te vervullen.

Als je in plaats daarvan een gevorderde student bent, zou ik je graag helpen een solide techniek op te bouwen en je eigen muzikaliteit te ondersteunen.

Aan de andere kant hou ik van alle soorten muziek. Ik werk graag met je samen aan bijvoorbeeld pop- of volksliedjes. Ik heb vele jaren in pop- en folkbands en -groepen gespeeld toen ik in Spanje woonde en ik heb ook veel ervaring met het lesgeven in deze muziek. Indien gewenst kan elk nummer worden gearrangeerd en gespeeld op de viool.

Ik vind het geweldig om nieuwe studenten te ontmoeten en ze te helpen op hun reis met het instrument. Elk individu heeft andere behoeften en doelen en als docent werk ik samen met elke student en geef ik ze de tools, kennis en ondersteuning die ze nodig hebben om die doelen te bereiken.

Muziek maken en leren hoe je dat moet doen, moet altijd een plezierig proces zijn. Gelukkig, als je van muziek houdt en een ervaren en ondersteunende leraar hebt die je helpt en je altijd de tools geeft die je nodig hebt, is dat plezier en stressvrije muziekcreatie gemakkelijk.

Ik heb 10 jaar ervaring met het geven van privélessen aan verschillende leeftijden en niveaus en meerdere jaren praktijkervaring tijdens mijn studie.

Hello everyone, I'm Enrico and I come from Italy. Right now I am in Utrecht where I am doing a master's degree in cello under the guidance of Timora Rosler.
During my years of studies I always had the possibility to teach music, in fact while I was doing my Bachelor in Italy at the Conservatory of Turin, I taught cello and music theory in a private music school called "Isla de Musiqueros", in this school I had the opportunity to teach people of all ages, including children under 4 years old.
When I moved to the Netherlands little by little I started to find students and many many concerts.

I believe that playing is the best way to have fun and express your emotions, the work I want to do is work on tensions and try to help you melt away while playing, in this way you can have more sound and feel more free.
Technique is also very important in the everyday life of a musician, together we can see the best exercises for you, to help you improve and have more confidence with the instrument.

In mijn klarinetlessen staat plezier centraal. Ik geloof in leren door te spelen, waarbij muziek een ontdekkingsreis wordt in plaats van een taak. Elke les is afgestemd op de leeftijd, ervaring en interesses van de leerling.

We werken aan een solide technische basis, waarbij ik technieken en inzichten doorgeef die ik heb geleerd van internationaal gerenommeerde musici zoals Annelien Van Wauwe, Antonio Salguero, Steffan Schilling, Nicola Boud, Ernst Schlader, Pascal Moraguès en Hermann Stefánsson. Daarnaast verken ik samen met mijn leerlingen ritme, melodie en improvisatie door middel van spel, zingen, bodypercussie en muziek in alledaagse geluiden.

Mijn doel is dat elke leerling zich vertrouwd en geïnspireerd voelt om zijn of haar eigen muzikale stem te ontwikkelen. Ik moedig kinderen en volwassenen aan om te genieten, creëren en delen, ongeacht leeftijd of achtergrond.
