I am a professional violinist graduated in Music at the Musikene Conservatory in the Basque Country (Spain).
This year I ́m going to start studying Master Music Performance Klassik in Bern.

I offer private violin and theory lessons to all ages.
I have worked in a music school in my area giving violin and theory classes to children and young people from 4-18 years old. But I also have experience in teaching people over the age of 18. My way of working with each student is different but I focus a lot on motivating each student and this is why I take into account their musical tastes and encourage them to come to each class wanting to learn and happy to make music.

If you want to start studying the violin, or if you already have a beginners level and you want to continue improving, or even if you hace a high level but you need some help to solve some problems or improve technically or musically as a musician and violinist do not hesitate to contact me.

The classes can be at my house or at the student ́s house. The day and time of the classes are discussed between the student and the teacher. Classes may vary each week.
I can teach in English, German, Spanish or Basque.

I am a professional violinist and I characterize myself as a very sensitive and professional violinist. I am very interested in the relationship between music and society. At my masters degree interview, I presented a project on how to motivate young people to attend cultural events and that is why I care so much that my students stay always motivated and find music as a way to express emotions and enjoyment. For each student I use different teaching methods but always with games and other techniques to motivate and help the student to improve efficiently.

Music theory, an essential subject to deeply understand music.
As I am Hungarian, I studied the Kodály method. It is a rather special method which is characterized by a lot of singing, creativity and rhythmic games, which was invented for the education of the people, not for the musical elite. Its effectiveness is proven by many musicians who have grown up in this extraordinary system.
During the lessons we would do several types of exercises:
- listening exercises
- writing exercises
- sing songs, melodies, chords, intervals...
(I am flexible regarding this subject, the student can advise activities/subjects (ex: history of music...))

The goal:
- find the connection between musicality-instrument-theory
- improve ear (absolute/relative), sight-reading, musicality, theoretical knowledge

If you're not a grader, it doesn't matter! My first piano lessons were very note based and almost ruined my playing! I'm a firm believer that playing songs by ear from the start helps us absorb songs faster. This course is aimed at beginner and intermediate students of classical violin, jazz and contemporary music.

For beginner students:
We cover technical elements such as violin and bow positioning and holding, bow movement, left-hand placement, scales, and positions. We also work on developing ear training and rhythm. We may also introduce basic music theory concepts, such as reading notes.
Finally, we work on learning pieces, according to the student's desires and musical styles.

For intermediate students, here are different approaches depending on their musical styles and desires.

For jazz and improvised music: scales or arpeggios that can be played on a given chord, modes and their use, rhythm, improvisation exercises, phrasing (swing, Latin, funk, etc.), learning jazz standards, how to amplify on stage, etc.

For classical music: scales and arpeggios, technical exercises for the left and right hand, how to put together a piece, musicality and interpretation.

I offer double bass lessons for children and adults, beginners or more advanced. Lessons are adapted to each student's level, pace, and goals.

We will work on technique, musicality, and listening skills through various exercises and repertoires. For younger children, I also incorporate musical games to make learning natural and motivating.
