During my classes you will learn a lot of Spanish in a productive and dynamic way. You will learn Spanish grammar, vocabulary, customs and I will teach you how to maintain an everyday conversation. I will help you with all your difficulties, and you will improve your fluency and pronunciation. I tailor each lesson according to my student needs. I allow for the first 10 minutes to “steam off” in English/Spanish to express requests, needs, doubts and/or clarifications. Then everything is mandatory in Italian! The only exception made is for improving translation skills, upon request. My academic background allows me to trace the etymology of any given word and to easily spot false-firends, enabling a durable memorisation of new vocabulary. Lessons usually focus on travelling, contemporary issues, specialised vocabulary of one’s own professional area, and practical vocabulary for daily life. Examples of tasks: - Preparing and sending an email to book an hotel room / rent a car - Understanding and analysing brief videos/audios (i.e. Ted Talks, Podcasts) to post comments - Explaining a recipe - Summarising a tv show episode/play/book - Analysing and translating news, crowdfunding campaigns, and essays.

During my writing sessions, I will guide students in developing their practical writing skills, i.e. grammar, sentence structure, punctuation, and organisation of points/plot. Whilst encouraging creativity throughout, I will ensure there are multiple opportunities for students to express themselves through various writing genres. We will also work on editing and reviewing with feedback sessions built in to help consolidate the techniques introduced. I strongly believe that reading is the key to unlocking a whole world of knowledge and imagination. In my reading sessions, I will focus on developing essential skills such as phonics, fluency, comprehension, and vocab. Through a variety of activities, including reading aloud, guided reading, discussion and analysis, I will help students improve their reading abilities, expand their literary horizons, and hopefully, foster a lifelong love for books. It is important that the child learns to correctly draw letters and read fluently and comprehensively to develop analytical and critical thinking. The teaching method, being online, will use striking images related to the words that are taught to the child so that they learn to relate them and even when carrying out the reading, it will be done with readings appropriate to the age of the student, which always has a moral or a teaching.
