I offer lessons of French for all levels, to provide the students with personalised exercises and content, to match the level and the goals. The different area of the language will be engaged: speaking, listening, writing and reading.

I am a native french speaker so the student will be subjected to a real french atmosphere, and with my previous experiences in teaching French, I know how to adapt the language while still remaining authentic.

The class can be adapted to the special needs of the student: learning french for school or for the workplace, or just developing the language skills for informal settings.

- I am an international Master student at the University of Amsterdam, originally from France and Switzerland.

- I have previous experiences in teaching french to various levels and with large groups, so the classroom environment is something that I can handle, as well as the particular tutoring with a case by case basis.

The purpose of this class is to learn french through the french culture and oral conversation. There will be different approaches to learning french : activities related to the French culture (depending on the age and personal preferences), a more conventional method of learning (for grammar for example, if needed), oral conversation (about actuality, the culture, art,...), and possibly the study of books, texts, movies in french.
During the class I will mostly speak french, and I consider oral conversation a very important part of the class. If you need to focus on grammar, spelling, or conjugation it is not a problem at all and the exercises will evolve with your specific needs and level. I always estimate your level and the points we need to work on during the first class so we know on what to focus on.

If you feel the need to learn even more, I will also give homework such as specific grammar exercises, and I will recommend to you some books to read in french or movies to watch depending on your interests.

My belief is that each student is different and requires a tailor made lesson to meet that student’s needs and goals. Every class is personalised for your own profile and is adapted as needed. Always wanted to learn Spanish, but the regular lessons go too fast and/or it doesn't stick, then follow these tailor-made lessons.

Why class for 40+, because we have learned from our own experience how difficult it is to learn another language later in life and that most books/courses are based for younger students.

All lessons are adapted to your individual needs and speed.

You do not need to purchase any books, all materials will be delivered by email. This is because we work with several books and in this way we can offer a lot of learning material and thus make the learning material varied (and also rehearse more often if necessary.)

There is no minimum or maximum number of lessons, you are the one who determines the frequency. Of course you can also do these lessons with your partner.

Lessons are given online via Skype and last 1.5 hours at a time.

During the tutoring sessions the student and I will look for ways of learning that works best for them, so they can be as engaged and retain as much new knowledge as possible. This comes from listening to the student and seeing their strengths and areas where more support is needed.
The key in my teaching is to make it fun. I am engaged and motivated with my students, and want to help them see the fun and value in what they are doing.

Lessons are customised to the learning needs of your child. Whether that be learning English, Swedish or Spanish for the first time or practicing improvement of speaking, reading, comprehension, pronunciation, listening, writing, grammar, etc. Lessons can also be aimed towards learning a topic such as food, animals, sports, emotions, and more.

Depending on the students age, lesson duration can be adjusted. I also do lessons for siblings. My aim is to create a positive and enjoyable learning environment for my students.

I have ample experience working with kids as I worked at a YMCA summer camp in Sweden for many summers, supervising a group of 10-12 kids around the clock for 4 weeks, joining/monitoring them on their group activities/classes, as well as everything else logistically around them. I also have a genuine interest in child development and pedagogy as a whole.

I have a bachelors degree in Social Psychology and one in Media and Communications from Uppsala University in Sweden.
