Have you ever imagined singing with your whole body? Would you like to reach the highest notes easily? Together, we will dive into the secrets of operatic technique, which is considered the most healthy for our voice. We will explore the classical repertoire in a fun way with movement and breathing exercises, tailor-made for you. I am a vocal coach and classical singer, an alumnus of the Conservatory of Amsterdam. With a background in musical and architectural studies, I combine my knowledge to approach singing in innovative ways. My students often say I have the power to unlock their potential with my tips. I say that I am just passionate about the musical voice that each one of us holds inside. Specializing in vocal education, I love teaching both beginners and advanced, and sharing the joy of singing, because I believe that everybody can—and should—sing!

Über mich

I studied Architecture and Music. I work in various productions adopting various roles as a designer, stage director, vocal coach, and singer. This background helps me understand how someone's voice resonates in the space outside and inside the body, and listen carefully. I like teaching a lot. I like how unique everyone's vocal world can be, and I am passionate about bringing out the natural voice that everybody has hidden because of blockages of technique or shyness. My main goal during a class is for the student to enjoy singing, understand new insights, and leave the room at ease, inspired for more musical adventures.

Erfahrung / Qualifikationen

Iris, is a Greek architect and musician, born in Paris in 1994. She is based in the Netherlands specializing in interdisciplinary vocal projects and opera education. She serves as Repetiteur, rehearsal manager, and vocal teacher for the choir and the soloists of the ASPK Operette (Het Amsterdams Studentenprojectkoor). Her versatile nature and knowledge cover various disciplines such as music, architecture acoustics, and scenography. She has experience in theater productions, exhibitions, and concerts adopting various professional roles, as a singer, vocal coach, designer, and stage director. In 2023 Iris co-staged, together with the soprano Iris Keller Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice Opera, presented at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. She performed in Amsterdam’s Muziekgebouw festival An Evening of Today in 'womanhood' created by the film composer Anne Teikari and broadcasted by Dutch Radio. Iris's latest creation is Opera Bizarre, a unique combination of workshops and performances, designed for singers, focusing on the relationship of the Voice, the Body, and the Space
