The lessons are mainly given in Spanish, so you can learn and practice as much Spanish as possible during the lesson. Don't worry about making mistakes; By making mistakes and learning from them, you even become better. Repetition is an important part of my lessons. I often go back to check if you remember what was introduced in previous lessons. Before we start our lessons, I want to know your reasons for learning Spanish. If you already have some knowledge of Spanish, I will determine your exact level. Once I know your needs, interests, and level, I can select the right materials and design the right course for you. I find it better to work with a textbook to give structure to the lessons. I also use videos, slides, worksheets, and other teaching materials. I have a passion for teaching and passing on some of the knowledge that I have acquired during my studies at several schools and heard from the musicians I look up to. I've done my bachelor degree at The Royal Academy of Music in Denmark, and I finished my Masters at Conservatorium van Amsterdam in 2024. I teach double bass, electric bass and composition. Musically I try to be as open as I can. For me it doesn't matter if it's free jazz, traditional jazz, pop or metal as long as it feels good. I'm a leader of my own group where we combine jazz and indie rock. we will release our debut album this fall. I'm also a sideman in several groups. As for composition I have experience with composing for regular jazz groups, big band, string quartet and irregular constellations such as my band with three guitars and three horns. Some thoughts about teaching: I believe that the most important thing when teaching is having a good relation to one another and generally just having a good time. If we don't enjoy the process we don't learn. You should feel comfortable saying how you feel and what you want to learn/don't want to learn. With that transparency I will be able to customize the teaching and balance the curriculum so that I meet your needs while pushing you into unknown territory. I have been performing in musicals since 2015. These studies have given me a wealth of tools to adapt to what each student needs and wants, because the most important thing is that we never stop enjoying music. My classes are based on three core principles. The first is having a clear method, rooted in the real functioning of the voice—its physiology (what science tells us about how we use the body to sing)—and applicable to anyone, step by step, with logic. I always prioritize the student’s vocal health and rely on scientifically proven methods. I use simple language, without unnecessary technicalities, so everything is easy to understand and makes sense. The second is the emotional and psychological aspect. For me, connecting with the person in front of me is essential—understanding how they think, how they perceive themselves, what blocks them, and what motivates them. Violin and Viola lessons 🎻 with a professional teacher for all ages and levels (Amsterdam)

I studied the violin for about 2 months with Fermin and I have grown much in my knowledge of not just how to play but how to think when playing. Fermin has also helped a lot with technical struggles allowing me to break through some of the challenges that were bothering me for a long time. He is a very patient teacher but he will not hesitate to stop you and correct you (as any good teacher would) if you are not playing correctly. I personally requested that he gives me honest feedback which really helped me play better tecnically and musically. I believe he will be open to adapting his strictness upon specific requests. The time difference (Fermin being in Spain and I being in the US) has not been easy but Fermin was very willing to bend his schedule and provided several time slots to accommodate my availability. To sum up, if you are looking for a teacher that is patient in character yet unrelenting toward the goal of fully tapping your potential both musically and tecnically, I would recommend you take a lesson with Fermin.

I want to start off by saying a huge thank you to Sacha! I am a Master student who needed academic support for a statistics course in February and although I have always lacked confidence in math, Sacha made me feel as if i had the foundation and ability to not only pass the course but also succeed in writing the results section of my Thesis paper. She was always very flexible in her availability, and was able to meet several times per week, which for me, was very beneficial. Other than that, Sacha was approachable, friendly and a great tutor. I appreciate all the support and definitely recommend her to anyone who wants to grow as an academic :)

Best piano lesson I've ever had! Admittedly, this was also the first lesson I've ever had - however it was every bit as good as I had hoped it would be. Starting at the ripe old age of 35 I was slightly concerned that I might be too old to start, but Deniz made the whole experience very easy to enjoy, and she adapted the lesson around the very little bits I was able to do, while filling in lots of information that I didn't know. Looking forward to carrying on my training and would highly recommend to anyone that's thinking of taking the plunge.
