Piano, Transverse Flute and Musical Language Classes

In this course, I will teach you the first steps to start playing classical piano. We will begin to do some hand placement exercises, scales, arpeggios and different exercises and then begin to play simple works, which will become more complicated over time. The duration of the classes in principle is 1 hour. If you would like less or more time, we can manage it. In principle the classes are taught in my studio, but everything could be discussed. Depending on the area I could move.

A young and enthusiastic tutor who has more than 15 years of experience in musical performance, who is constantly developing her skills and learning new instruments (currently, violin and guitar :). I come from Ukraine and have a diploma from a completed 8-year piano, music theory and choir degree from Russian and Ukrainian musical academies. I am very proud of the educational background I have since my teachers had always been very strict yet fair with their ways of teaching, which gave me a strong base as a musician, and, later on, as a tutor. Moreover, I have studied psychology here in Spain for 3 years at a university, so I get on well with many different personalities and know how to approach stressful situations. I must mention that I am passionate about spending my time with kids and sharing the skills and experience I have with people. I speak Spanish, but offer classes in English, so my students can also practice their English while in the class. Of course, if the student prefers to keep it in Spanish, it is not a problem for me. I am happy to help beginners with meeting piano for the first time, as well as tutoring students with some experience to help them with practising at home, pointing out the most crucial areas of improvement in order to reach the best result possible. I have finished my Master degree in Piano at the Conservatori del Liceu (Barcelona) this year, and I have many years of experience teaching, children and younger students, as well as adult people. Currently I am working in a music school, but at the same time I give private lessons.

Musical language classes (Harmony, Literacy, Rhythm, Auditory Training) for school reinforcement or self-interest. Classes will focus on each student's preferred areas of musical language, and practical exercises will be continuously performed on the student's instrument. Additionally, Music Composition classes are offered, in genres such as classical music, jazz and music for audiovisuals and computer-assisted music.

I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

I am Dimitrios, I am a greek professional guitarist. I graduated with a masters degree in Jazz guitar from Conservatorium van Amsterdam and also studied in the UK conservatory of Leeds. As a musician my primary focus is jazz music but I also often play other styles like soul, Rnb and more. So far in my teaching career I have had experience with many different ages, from 7 to 40 years old and I think I have managed to pass on to them some of my passion for music. Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. Do you want to delve deeper into a certain style? Do you want to create your own sound on your guitar using amps, and pedals, ...? I can help you with all that! Knowledge of solfège or music theory is not required, we can always discuss this in class if you wish, but that is certainly not mandatory ;) I have been playing the guitar since I was 9 years old and for several years now I have been playing in professional bands with which I have been able to play on sugar rock, for example.
