Whether you wish to study Piano, Music Theory or Composition, my teaching approach is anchored on understanding how music is made. Why? Because unpicking your favourite music and discovering the fundamental musical laws behind it is the best way to learn how to absorb, memorise and ultimately perform it or, if you're a composer, to find inspiration for your own music. In our first class we will discuss your main areas of interest and musical ambitions. Based on these we will make a plan to help you pursue and achieve them. My main areas of specialism are classical and contemporary classical music. I can also teach students with an interest in jazz, popular music and songwriting. Over the last eight years, I have taught more than one hundred students of all ages and abilities.
