Hi, I'm Ha-mi.
I'm from south Korea and now I'm currently studying Jazz Piano in Utrecht Conservatorium.
I've been playing the Piano since I was really young. I had a lot of experience in music. I have played in worship band for 5 years at church. I already graduated music college in Korea. So, I did play with some bands and had gigs.
We can play Jazz, Pop, Gospel, Neo soul and Funk together!

In music, We can play our story. And I bet you are going to enjoy to play Piano.

I can provide students with a lot of materials to play jazz.
I took many years to develop my playing style and It's time to give someone who wants to learn Jazz Piano.

I'll teach you 'how to play the Piano' and provide a lot of source to play Jazz.
And I want to show you How I play the Piano in Jazz.
Also, I definitely can teach 'how to accompany' in Pop and Gospel as well.

As a drums and classical percussion educator I have more than 10 years of experience. Graduated with honors from State University Of New York, Fredonia, Mason School of Music in 2013 and earned my Masters of Music In Drums at the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht, Utrechts Conservatorium. I have had the privilege of studying with world renown percussionists and drum set players including Dr. Kay Stonefelt, Shawn Pelton, Eric Shin, and Joost Kesselaar.

As an engaging drum set and percussion instructor, I provide music lessons rooted in humanistic philosophy which allows me to cater each lesson in an individualized manner and develop richer and more meaningful relationships with each student.

Lessons are provided in a rented rehearsal and practice room space, Students can expect to acquire the necessary technique, musicality and abilities to engage in any musical setting such as rock and pop bands, jazz combos, classical ensembles, experimental or avant-guard music making, marching band music and drumline instruction.

I love teaching children and young people how to play the piano. It’s amazing to see how much progress that can be made even in one year. Children can go from not being able to read a note of music, to reading music and playing a couple of small but complex pieces by the end of the year. The relationship with the student is very important, being able to encourage and interact well with each individual, to bring out the best in them.
I teach in your home, so there is no need to waste time travelling to a class. Beginner and intermediate students can easily learn and practice on a good keyboard, before you decide to invest in a piano.
If a student would like a more formal education in music I can enroll, and prepare them for ABRSM exams.
For journeys of more than 15 minutes by bike I charge a supplement.

Thereby, the instrument becomes a tool to understand what making music really means and will be a way for the student to express his emotions. My approach to the lessons can provide a lot of creativity, fun and originality.

How will my lessons look like
From the first lesson, the student will start making music. We will begin learning the basic concepts of music, developing listening and rhythmic skills with fun exercises. Lessons will also be focused on learning the basics of music theory, creating a solid technical base and paying special attention to having a relaxed and healthy body posture. My academic and professional experience has helped me create a teaching method where improvisation is an essential tool for the student. I enjoy working on it from the beginning since it is a perfect way to develop musicality.

Playing different music genres together
As a musician, another of my sources of inspiration is to get to know and to learn from different styles, playing and experimenting with music from the classical period until the most avant-garde style. During the lessons, we will play pop, jazz, classical and many other styles. I would like to explore the instrument with the student in a fun way, growing, improving, and discovering new ways of making music together. During the lessons the students and I could play together, either playing some duos with the cello or accompanying them with the piano, which is an activity that I really enjoy. Playing together with more people and with a polyphonic instrument from the beginning will give the student clues to learn how to play in ensembles and listen to all the different voices that can be part of any musical composition.

The piano classes that I offer are adapted to the level, personality and needs of my students. I can teach a multitude of styles and I have experience in teaching for more than 9 years, working in official music education centers and with completed piano and primary teaching careers. Now I am going to study singing, so I can also give introductory classes in this discipline, as well as musical language, harmony, analysis or listening. Due to the experience I have in teaching suzuki piano and with music and movement, I can start with children from 3-4 years old, I also have experience in these methodologies.

I am looking for piano students; I am passionate about teaching. I like children to advance and to be able to contribute something in their life. All ages are suitable to start playing this beautiful instrument. I am very flexible with schedules, and I always try to discipline them.

My name is Mar and I am a 26-year-old professional pianist (with pedagogical training) graduated from the master degree in Classical Piano Performance as soloist at the Utrecht Conservatory, now studying a second master in Piano Performance in Rotterdam, Codarts.
I have been working for 12 years as a piano and music teacher (I started very very young, when I was 14 years old, because I always liked teaching): I have experience in private lessons and official state music schools, with children from 2 years and adults of all levels, both individually and in groups. I have taught piano, music and movement for children, music theory, solfeggio and choir.

I finished my bachelor studies with the highest marks, I have experience as a concert performer and have won many international prizes in competitions as well as scholarships prizes.
