I benefited from a classical and jazz education, which allows me to be comfortable with all types of students.
Classes can be done on site or at home, moving around does not bother me.
I offer these lessons to neophytes wishing to learn this instrument or to beginners in their first years (1-6 years of practice), whatever the age.

- Technical exercises

- Work of the desired directory

About Me

MUSIC

Passionate about music since always, I started learning the saxophone at the age of 10 at the independent music school in Vic-en-Bigorre. After two years spent in this school, I continued the saxophone in the music schools of the Tarbes-Lourdes-Pyrénées agglomeration and I discovered collective practices there (Harmony Orchestras, ensembles and saxophone quartets).

Via the federation of musical societies of the Hautes Pyrénées, I discovered the courses of the junior harmony orchestra, as well as the regional harmony orchestra of Occitanie a few years later, with which I had the chance to perform in memorable locations and with internationally renowned musicians (Jérôme Laran, Hugo Blacher, Catherine Puertolas)

In parallel with my "classic" course in music school, I am interested in jazz and improvisation, in particular thanks to the Jazz In Marciac festival, which is located a few kilometers from my native village and in which I rediscovered my instrument, both in listening and in practice. I also had the chance to play in large ensembles with renowned instrumentalists (Muret Big Band, dir. Dominique RIEUX, Ensemble Sax&Co, dir. Daniel SOUSPERREGUY)
Today I continue this path in my studies, after having been accepted for a Jazz and Musical Cultures License at the University of Toulouse Jean Jaurès this year.

In parallel to the purely instrumental practice, I also trained in writing arrangements for different formations and I discovered a passion for arrangement and computer music on software like MuseScore and Ableton Live. I also attach great importance to the physics behind music and more generally sound, an area in which I perfected myself thanks to the 2020-2021 school year during which I was at L'ITEMM in Le Mans, a school where I learned the profession of luthier / repairer on wind instruments alternately in the company l'Art des Notes in Pau.

ENGLISH

From the beginning of my English learning in CM1, I was very lucky because my parents registered me for a language stay in Wales, where I was going for 2 weeks in a host family who did not speak not a word of French, which was extremely instructive. I then made this trip every year, from my CM1 to my Second.
Besides that, I have always been motivated to learn to listen to and practice this language: In films, series, on the internet, etc. I have always watched/searched everything in English. For example, during my studies in graphic design, I had to listen, read and learn
in English almost every day and it was very formative

Cello and Theory Lessons for all levels (leisure/ graded)
Music is part of our lives, so why not take a dive into learning and understanding it? I am offering Cello and Theory lessons in English, Mandarin or French. Students can choose either or, but basic music theory will be taught as part of practical lessons to progress with music reading. Be it leisure or exam focused, the lessons will be customized for each student. The lessons are progressively paced with a good mix of theoretical and technical studies, followed by expressions and musicality. Music knowledge is definitely not a requisite to begin. Students will also have access to my music database with over 1000 scores, and arrangements can be made for your level. Music theory lessons will be based on either the standard British / American theory or the French theory/ecriture system. Here, you will learn how to better read and understand music concepts and its rules, and even eventually write your own works!

Help with music, theory and winds. Support or discovery work
Theory and music theory, in music, are far from being the most fun. But it is essential to do so to progress and have fun, to play as you want and without limits! With good methods and enough patience, you can still get there. The proof ? After 10 years at the conservatory, I still ended up liking it! But no worries, no need to wait so much. As for the instrumental, the work requires practice and patience. But above all, listening. A new ear can always make you grow, find details, different approaches. I offer a long practice filled with orchestral and ensemble experience to accompany in practice. I can accompany teaching without replacing it or give first wind instrument lessons.

Private lessons in piano and music theory for beginners and intermediates
Being a graduate of the Conservatory, I acquired a very rigorous apprenticeship in music. Today, private lessons allow me to share my knowledge and pass it on. Music is learning, but it's also a pleasure. For an optimal learning, I adapt as much as possible to the capacities of the pupil in order to be able to make him progress as well as possible, and that he thus learns the music and allow him to like to play and to make music. Private lessons in piano and music theory require step-by-step learning, with regular work, which I take the time to do during the course, and which in this sense will have to be continued on the other days of the week, for a real evolution, for a beginner as for someone who has a good basis.

Piano lessons - music theory and harmony - for any level
I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

GUITAR LESSON for ALL LEVELS ✨ taught by a seasoned CONSERVATOIRE PROFESSOR! 🎶
The lessons can be conducted in English 🇬🇧, Spanish 🇪🇸 , or Italian 🇮🇹 , ensuring accessibility for all students. Age and musical preferences are not limitations; with qualitative daily practice, rather than sheer quantity, progress can be swiftly observed. 💪🏼 🎶 My approach to classical guitar lessons is centered on tailoring them to each student's individual needs and potential. I prioritize fostering enthusiasm and motivation as primary tools for conveying technical and theoretical concepts, alongside a deep love for music. Lessons are open to students of all ages and skill levels. 🚀 The focus of the course revolves around the joy of playing music. Your favorite genres and pieces will take center stage, with a thorough exploration of their codes and secrets. Together, we'll delve into technical exercises and learn to play pièces of your choice or mine, enriching your repertoire and enhancing your playing style. 🤩 For example, we can reimagine pieces by applying advanced techniques such as the CAGED system, incorporating new chords, positions, and techniques like arpeggios and fingerstyle playing. This expands the instrument's capabilities and your playing skills, ensuring continuous progress and improvement. 👨🏻‍🏫 Upon request, the program also includes theoretical studies, which are presented in an accessible manner suitable for both beginners and experienced musicians. Exercises, pieces, and theoretical explanations are structured in a progressive order of difficulty.🔥 The theoretical program covers a range of topics, including guitar tuning, chord theory, scales and modes, finger picking techniques, strumming patterns, metronome practice, learning favorite songs, improvisation, harmony, melody, and rhythm theory.⚡️ Together, we'll embark on a musical journey tailored to your goals and aspirations, ensuring a fulfilling and enriching experience with the classical guitar.🔝☄️

Getting to Grips with Music Theory is simpler than you think!
The theory of everything tends to be really scary and music theory can be too. I am very keen to make music theory easy for everyone. For some people there is only one way to tackle the unmentionable but I believe there are many different approaches and one of them will click with you. It is simply finding out what is best for each person. Once we find the key we can unlock the problems that have puzzled you for ages. Music theory needs to be more than a requirement, it needs to be the way to really appreciate the music you are playing. Certain aspects can also lead to additional practical skills such as improvisation which can be very useful as well as very enjoyable. Whether you want to understand a particular aspect of music theory or If you struggle with music theory in general, then this is the class for you - why not give it a try?
