I am Sofia and I am a greek tutor. I am from Greece and more specifically from Larisa but I live in Thessaloniki. I am 24 years old and I love teaching! I studied Greek language and Philosophy and recently I finished my master studies on Teaching greek as a second/foreign language.

Hello everyone! I am an experienced, qualified English teacher from the UK. I speak Spanish to intermediate level, and a little Greek and Arabic. I have a first class bachelors degree in English Literature and Sociology from The University of Leeds in the UK.

I have experience teaching all levels from children as young as 5 years old to proficiency level students. I have taught many different exam boards including IELTS, Cambridge, Trinity and Michigan so I can prepare you for your exams.

My lessons are tailor made for my students. In the initial classes we can discuss your weak areas and I can assess what grammatical or pronunciation areas we need to work on.

Most importantly, my classes are fun and inspiring. I can come to your house, or you may come to mine if you live in Thessaloniki area. In addition, I do online classes.

An introduction to the basic syntactic and grammatical phenomena of the ancient Greek language. We use texts from the ancient Greek Literature (Ancient Greek History, Tragedies and Myths) as well as the Bible or Byzantine Hymnology in order to better understand the structure and way of thinking of the Greek language. The course is addressed to anyone who either has or doesn't have a knowledge of the Greek language. It is built as a personalized course, based on each student's level, motivation and learning needs.

I am Assistant Professor in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, School of Early Childhood Education. I studied History and Archaeology, I hold a Master of Arts in History and Turkology, a Phd and Post-doc in Literature for children and young adults and I am a tutor for adults, cerified from the National Organisation for the Certification of Qualifications and Vocational Guidance. I have 13 year of experience in helping children and adults to learn Greek language through specialized courses and to get acquainted with the Greek Culture (Literature, Mythology, Conversational Greek, Walking Greek Lessons, Greek Poems and other interesting ways for practice, such as museum visits).
I prepare people for exams in the Greek Language-Ellinomatheia levels from A1-C2 and help them to obtain the Certificates from A1-C2 level by the Greek Ministry of Education.

When the sun shines, or even when it's rainy (Thessaloniki i BEAUTIFUL in rainy days) a visit at the city's museums or cultural sites such as White Tower, Rotonda, Galerius Arch, or the University Town are ideal places to learn the essence of Greek languange, etymology,and History.
