Hello everyone!

Would you like to learn Spanish in an effective, easy, and fun way? My name is Martín, and I've been teaching Spanish since 2013. My lessons are tailored to each student's needs, and my teaching approach adapts to their needs. As a teacher, I always try to make things interesting for my students and ensure they have fun learning.

- Who is this course aimed at?

If you just want to get started in the language, talk to locals during your vacation, soften your accent, reach an intermediate or advanced level, improve your speaking, reading, listening, or writing skills, or prepare for a job interview or exam, my lessons are for you.

-I only know how to say "hello" and "please," would that be a problem?

Of course not. I have experience teaching complete beginners. I only speak Spanish during my lessons, but don't worry, I can make myself understood. If you're more comfortable, I'm fluent in English and French.

- What materials do you use?

Grammar textbooks, video files, movies, songs, articles and news, books, and pictures. Regular feedback will be provided to track and measure progress. Homework can also be assigned if the student wishes.

My name is Irene. I come from Guadalajara, a town close to Madrid, but live in beautiful Barcelona.

I understood very early that I like not only learning but also teaching languages and studied my Masters of Linguistics Applied to Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language. I have lived in France, India, Germany and Russia teaching Spanish. During these 15 years of teaching, I learnt a lot about different methods, people and logics.
I use a variety of resources (textbooks, articles, small videos, audios...) providing examples, exercises and homework so that what is to be learnt is doable and designed for your learning preferences. I adapt my classes to what students want and need so they make the most of their time and money.

I think it is very important for students to feel comfortable and safe. It is also essential that what we do and talk about in class makes sense and is relevant for you. It is your goal and personal style of learning what will define our classes.

I also speak English, French, German and Russian. I can explain in the student′ s mother tongue if necessary although my goal will be to speak Spanish from the very beginning with affordable exercises adapted to your level.

I love teaching and learning new languages because they bring us closer.

I am a certified Spanish teacher and an official DELE examiner at the Instituto Cervantes. I hold a Master's degree in Spanish as a Foreign Language and another in International Education and Bilingualism. I am also an IB teaching certified professional. I am currently a PhD candidate in Applied Linguistics for Language Teaching. I have extensive teaching experience in academies and universities in Europe and Asia, as well as five years of online teaching experience.
