English Conversation and Tutoring for Children and Adults with Native English Speaker

ENGLISH: Hello! I am a native English speaker (with a West Coast North American accent) offering English conversation and tutoring sessions in Paris to both children and adults. I have a Bachelor's degree in Art History and propose lessons based around art, if that is of interest. I am in France working as an English teaching assistant in elementary schools.
I have about eight years' experience working with children, tutoring in both English and French. For both children and adults, I take the approach of using culture as the base rather than only drilling vocabulary and grammar. Each lesson would be based on a certain theme, but I would let the student decide what elements they want to focus on (all while building a list of useful vocabulary and grammar tip). The goal is to speak entirely in English, but I am conversationally fluent in French so I can work with all levels of learners.
I propose two types of lessons:
1. English conversation: the focus would be spoken comprehension. This may include some supplemental materials, but the majority of the time would be spent having the student speak about a certain topic while I correct grammar and offer additional vocabulary.
2. English tutoring: the focus would be comprehension in speaking, reading, listening, and writing. Each lesson would focus on a certain theme but include all of these elements using supplemental materials such as news articles, music, short videos, or excerpts from books.

Je suis une anglophone des Etats-Unis (avec un accent West Coast) qui offre des sessions de conversation et des cours particuliers en anglais à Paris pour les enfants et les adultes. J’ai un diplôme en l’histoire de l’art et je propose des cours bases sur l’art, si ça vous intéresse. Je travaille en France cette année comme assistante de langue anglaise dans des écoles primaires.
J’ai environ huit ans d’expérience de travail avec des enfants, en donnant des cours particuliers en anglais et en français. Pour les jeunes et les adultes, j’approche l’enseignement en pensant d’abord de la culture comme base plutôt que d’entrainer seulement le vocabulaire et la grammaire. Chaque leçon serait basée sur un thème, mais je laisserais l’avenir de la conversation à l’étudiant (tout en construisant une liste de vocabulaire utile et des conseils pour la grammaire). Le but est de parler qu’en anglais, mais je parle français à un niveau C1 donc je peux travailler avec tous niveaux d’apprenants.

I am from Seattle, Washington and went to college in Atlanta, Georgia. I studied abroad in Paris from 2017-18 and am so happy to be back here! I am working as an Assistante de Langue Anglaise in two elementary schools and enjoy sharing my language and culture with others. My passions are art and dance, and I love to read as well. I speak English as my native language, as well as Spanish and French... I am trying to learn Italian.
Opleiding
I have a degree in Art History and French from Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Georgia. I was there from 2015-2019. I also studied French as a foreign language at the Institut Catholique de Paris from 2017-2018.
