Music theory workshops and lessons for beginners average and advanced.
Currently studying music theory at an advanced level in the conservatory of Paris, I give lessons for everyone. I started my musical studies at seven years old in Lorraine where I got my music theory certificate in 2020. In 2021 I entered Paris' conservatory and progressed to where I am today. I has been more than ten years that I study musical theory and I am aware of the difficulties people can face learning it, especially children that tend to see it as boring. I discovered many different aspects of this subject and I would like to teach them to others while adapting to their needs and wishes. I can use the voice, the body, an instrument, some reading and lots of listening to develop the musical personality of students. Don't hesitate to ask me for any other informations!
Jazz-trained multi-instrumentalist teaches piano, guitar, bass, drums, music theory & music production to all ages and levels, in English.
I have over 8 years of experience teaching piano, guitar, electric bass, drums, band coaching and music theory in a wide range of styles to all ages. I approach music tuition with the aim to instil a lasting appreciation of and enthusiasm for playing music, especially with kids and teens! With emphasis on improvisation and rhythmic awareness, my lessons not only prepare my students to play jazz and jazz-related genres but also teaches them to understand music more deeply than just notes on a piece of paper. A typical lesson involves a balance of technical warm-up exercises, sight-reading, improvisation and working through a tune of your choice. That said, we can work on whatever you want, I'm always happy for my students to guide the lesson. My students love my fresh approach to teaching and parents especially appreciate my flexibility with timing and travelling to their house. I can teach all instruments online or at your location, but only piano and guitar at my location. I look forward to meeting you!
Violin and viola teacher (Français - Español - English )
“Talent grows through exercise…” - Shinichi Suzuki I have been giving violin lessons for 10 years, my working method is based on the Suzuki method, the mother tongue method. A child first learns to speak before learning to read and write. Language learning is done mainly by listening and mimicry. For music, it's the same, you must first master the basics of the instrument before knowing how to read notes and scores. Whatever the age of the student, beginner level or confirmed, I offer private lessons of violin and viola. No knowledge or musical notion is necessary beforehand, the theoretical achievements are made as and when the discovery of the instrument.

DEM Jazz graduate gives guitar lessons of all styles in Paris
Hello, my name is Matéo and I am 24 years old. I have been playing the guitar for more than 7 years and for more than 3 years I have taught it to about twenty students that I have had in private lessons. On the diploma side, I obtained my DEM Jazz (Diploma of Musical Studies) after several years in conservatory and music school. My favorite style is therefore jazz but I teach current music in general on the guitar (acoustic as well as electric) and above all I adapt to my students to teach them what they like. In addition to learning pieces, the knowledge I have acquired allows me to approach musical theory (the rhythmic, melodic and harmonic aspects inherent in each piece) and the logic of the instrument (the organization of the notes on the handle) if necessary, the goal not being to inflict a lot of music theory on ourselves but to use it to our advantage, by small touches, in order to become a complete musician. A few words about my pedagogy: For me, the most important thing - especially when you're just starting out - is to have fun making music. What I always ask my students: “What do you want to play? What music do you like? ". Because it is this desire that will make it possible to make the effort to work to achieve the result and above all to progress on the path. After a necessary moment spent on the fundamentals, I adapt myself to the profile of each student to offer him work tracks in relation to the piece that we have chosen. I think this method allows you to explore music deeply while remaining playful. I move around Paris, in priority around the 15, 16, and 7th arrondissement. If questions do not hesitate. Hope to meet you ! Mateo
Classical guitar, nylon acoustic, improvised music
I am a professional nylon string guitarist, classical, jazz, fusion, performer, composer and improviser. I was trained at the CNR in Nice in classical guitar (by the duo Ako Ito and Henry Dorigny, for those who know), and in composition, harmony and instrumentation. I have a solid experience of teaching in institutions and independently, as well as studio and acoustic and electroacoustic recording techniques. Children or adults, beginners or confirmed, my lessons adapt to the objectives of the student, for instrumental practice such as training and musical culture. We will define them together. I guarantee you rapid progress and a truly rewarding experience whatever your level. Classes take place in an artistically and intellectually stimulating atmosphere! If you are a beginner, you will build on solid foundations and will not be limited in your future progress. For beginner children who wish to join a conservatory in classical guitar in the coming year or the following years, they will have the technical and musical level required. If you are an already advanced guitarist, I can greatly help you to liberate your playing, to overcome any technical limitations that still hold you back. Many good guitarists are particularly limited by their right hand. Si-Si!... We will solve these problems in a few sessions. You will quickly gain in velocity, nuances, expressiveness. By the way, you will stop hurting yourself! The goal is to make music! Together we will reveal your potential as a guitarist and musician, interpreter as an improviser. Because if you are passionate about improvised music as I am, your possibilities will quickly expand by exploring playing modes, special tunings, the fusion between contemporary, classical and jazz music. See you soon David

Conservatory student gives lessons in guitar, music theory and musical composition (all styles)
Graduated from a license in musicology, I am currently pursuing my graduate studies at the conservatory in the scholarly disciplines of composition, analysis, writing, musical arrangement as well as Jazz. I have been playing guitar for many, many years now, as well as piano and flute. I have been giving guitar and music education lessons to children and teenagers for four years now. I also have a very good level in music theory, writing (jazz and classical), harmony as well as musical composition. My classes are based on listening as well as the development of the musical ear and musical creativity. I try to transmit my passion for music by making my students discover very varied horizons, from jazz to classical music, including current music and so-called traditional music. I also seek to develop autonomy in my students, an essential quality in order to flourish both musically and in everyday life. This is why I insist on the knowledge of the instrument and the development of creativity through the teaching of applied music theory and the development of the ear. My course is aimed at both beginners and people of an intermediate or advanced level who would like to improve their skills. If you are looking for a teacher who is both an educator and attentive to your personal musicality, do not hesitate to contact me.
