I specialize in teaching Reading, basic Maths, English, and Communication skills, for both children and adults with special needs or those without. My goal is to encourage everyone and motivate everyone, but not overwhelm them. Homework will be given after each lesson and provide periodic progress reports. To enable the student to improve with the daily homework given, where they will be able to prepare for the quizzes and tests for that term. In addition to that, I also teach basic skills about health where I will show you how to make simple healthy drinks, easy and exciting ways to make different fruit salads and vegetable salads, and how to combine different greens for your meals. I also teach ESOL classes where I teach children as well as adults English as their second language and also adults who are not able to read or read well. It is something that I love doing to help and support others in any way that I can. I will ensure that I will enable all students an easier way for each individual to understand their work. All students will have one-to-one support for areas of improvement. Each week each student will get a slot to discuss any issues they may have. I will ensure that all students will be made to feel comfortable and respected at all times.

My name is Laurie and I am an independent FLE teacher, graduated in French and Romance Languages and Literature since 2012. I have eight years of experience under my belt (abroad and in Belgium). I created a learning method for online courses. I have been preparing students for the DELF, DALF, TCF, FIDE, admission exams, etc. for several years.

The course includes:
-The material (articles, videos, exercises based on images and texts, grammatical theory, links to the exercises, etc.). I use google doc, so the ideal is to have a gmail address to be able to access it.
-Correction of exercises outside the course (written expressions are corrected outside the course, or with the student, depending on their needs).
-Access to an application (free) to study vocabulary on your smartphone.
-A vocabulary sheet - pronunciation - grammar/conjugation, sent after each lesson.
-If necessary, a recording of the vocabulary (for beginners).
-Carrying out online exercises and tests based on the vocabulary sheets sent.
-Motivation, laughter, good humor :-)

My method:
-It is oral based.
-For grammar, I use a particular method which allows oral structures to be automated.
-We work on pronunciation with the verbotonal method (exercises to pose your voice, for rhythm, etc.). I might even make you sing! :-)
-Everything goes through the oral before going through the writing but I obviously adapt to the needs of the students.
-The course is a little different for children and teenagers: I use interactive games and cards via the webcam.
