As a scientist and researcher, I have experience teaching various subjects in science to high-school and university students. I have also worked as an English language tutor for over 5 years and love being able to help people to better use the language (whether for communication or for writing for school and work).

Being able to be comfortable with the English language is a huge advantage not only for everyday communication but also to be able to communicate professionally. I especially specialize in the use of the English language for presentation and writing in the sciences and social sciences. I adapt my classes to each of my students - depending on their needs and goals. About Me

I am a research scientist who loves teaching and have always made it a big part of my life- as a student and in my career.

I completed a Ph.D. in Neuroscience in 2019, and am currently undertaking a second post-doctoral fellowship at INSERM in France. I have taught university-level courses on neuroscience, biology, psychology, and statistics. I also have an equivalent amount of experience teaching English to second language speakers (focusing especially on conversational aspects) and as a writing tutor where I helped university students and professionals with their writing on various subjects from the sciences, social sciences, humanities, fine arts, and engineering.

I can help you write and improve any aspect of writing you may have- essays, lab reports, presentations, theses, dissertation and also help you prepare for tests. I understand how important it is to suit the style of writing to the topic at hand and understand the differences between writing for English, social sciences, and sciences.
I also provide classes on English writing, neuroscience, and psychology.

My methodology: Learning to structure one's thoughts to express oneself better
My approach is based on a simple observation: success is not achieved through lack of effort, but often through a lack of method and confidence. My role is to transform subjects sometimes perceived as abstract (Philosophy, French) or intimidating (English) into concrete tools for success.

The typical course of a session:
1. Quick diagnosis: We start by identifying the areas of uncertainty from the previous lesson or the difficulties with a specific exercise.
2. Taking action: No boring lectures! We work on concrete exercises, essay plans or oral practice (in English) to "learn by doing".
3. The "Montreal Method": Having worked for two and a half years in Quebec, I use a North American pedagogy that is very focused on encouragement, clear structure and student autonomy.
4. Summary & Objectives: We end each session with a recap of the key points so that the student knows exactly what to revise.
