Ableton Live is a powerful program to play, compose and improvise music with.

This course provides hands-on experience in producing, mixing, and sound design with a digital audio workstation. Students will learn the fundamentals characteristics of sound and digital audio, creative ways of composing music and an introduction to signal processing such as equalization, compression, delay, and reverb. In addition to core audio and mixing concepts, students will learn various production techniques, such as sequencing, arranging, automation, using virtual instruments (eg synths, samplers, and drum machine plugins), working with MIDI, plugin formats such as VST / Audio -Units, and mapping digital USB controllers for the studio and live performances.

I am a mixed media artist based in the Netherlands. I am currently completing my Master's degree in Sonology at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague in collaboration with the Studio for Electro-Instrumental Music (STEIM) in Amsterdam. I am originally trained in classical piano and composition at the Conservatory of Music of Perugia, Italy. The strong interest in computer science and contemporary art has led me to experiment with new artistic languages, whilst the curiosity for new technologies is leading me to create interactive systems for mixed music compositions.

The moment of engagement between the performer and the listener it is the most intense feeling I’ve ever felt. It is a very unexpected moment, it just happens and there you are holding your instrument in front of people you are sharing your performance with. Suddenly everyone is waiting for you to continue the story you have been telling and everyone is just at the same time on the same place and you have what they need: a message they want to hear and they know you will share it with them. So once you do you reach that sensation, that moment, and what happens afterwards it is magic! It is absolutely wonderful how one, a hundred or even thousands of humans can be on hold for the same message and once it is delivered they just feel it the same exactly way as you do.

This sensation is not only happening on a performance but also on a teaching situation. I’ve been teaching for some year from children to adults and I discovered that if you put all your energy all your love and passion and you give it all as a teacher or as a student you can reach this magical communication levels! Which makes a lesson such an experience! That is why as a teacher I am mostly focused on creativity and trough it the discoveries of your instrument always basing this process on your goals and ambitions which are the most important pillars of a musician!!

Shortly, I have never stopped studying since I was 8 years old, I’ve graduated on classical percussion on Jazz vibraphone and currently finishing my masters on how to play vibraphone and Keys at the same time. Trough this time i’ve being participating with classical orchestras ( Orquesta Gaos, Joven orquesta sinfonica de Galicia,...) on different percussion festivals as a player and as a teacher ( Perkulliria, FIP Agolada,...) and on many different style bands ( Skarallaos, GHASS, Fhree, Qando Vand,...). Currently working with MAMIHLAPINATAPAI a very personal world music project here in The Netherlands.

I am a professional classical pianist, accompanist, creator, and composer with a Bachelor's Degree from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and a Master's Degree from the Royal Conservatorium in the Hague. For 7 years now, I have been teaching students of all levels between 5 and 60 years old.

Lessons are based on your level, interests, and goals. Together we can find out if you are keener on classical repertoire, or if you want to play your favorite pop music, some beautiful soundtrack from a movie you like or compose/improvise new pieces. With my experience in teaching diverse genres, I will help you explore the music that you like.

The central pillars I always work with are technique and creativity, which are much more connected than you would expect! While we advance, I also introduce the basics (or more deeply, if you are interested) of music theory to learn to communicate with each other in musical terms (chords, keys, score reading, etc.). And above all, the goal is to enjoy and have fun!

I share you my skills in playing the double bass with different techniques for jazz, classical, early music as well as arranging, composition, harmony and rhythm.
I have masters in early music and classical double bass from Royal Conservatory of The Hague and active as jazz musician.

More than 25 years of experience as a professional musician and more than 20 as a teacher and pedagogue have taught me that, alongside a technical and knowledgeable musical upbringing, my teaching can instil in the student a wide sense of musical appreciation. It is my firm belief that music connects to many other areas of learning and may even catalyse the overall pedagogical development of children.
Furthermore, my training as a classical composer/arranger and a performer of classical, jazz and world music allows me to create diverse pedagogical scenarios, which fit not just the aspirations of individual students, but also helps me to work with students collectively in ensembles and other kinds of interactive projects. I have been teaching in Asia and South America. touring and performing (full time) for the last 5 years playing latin music in 4 continents so and 35 countries so far. I'm also graduate for the conservatory around 6 years ago and experience as a teacher for more than 7 years including teaching 1 year at the university.

I can give you lesson from beginners to advance on guitar focus mostly in latin music, Colombian traditional music and Brazilian music, can be online or if you prefer presencial it is almost possible.

A composition class that is tailored to your musical needs! This class's main purpose is to help you find your own musical language and voice, either you are a complete beginner in music or a highly skilled musician. The most important question that you will be asked is ''Why?'', in order for you to learn to have control over your musical product, sound and decisions, so that you are always sure that your musical vision is being well translated and transmitted through your work.

In this class we are going to work with:

1) Compositional techniques --- Every lesson we are going to discuss about how do you think your piece should be, and about what does your piece need. For that you will need your intuition but also your ''tools'', and those are your compositional techniques. We are going to see them in other pieces and learn how to use them through your own musical vision.

2) Instrumentation --- To write acoutic music you need your ''arsenal'' and those are the instruments that you might use. In this class we will learn the categories, material, sound, structure and combinations of every instrument. We will learn together how each instrument works and how to notate it on paper, so that you are never limited by the nature of the instrument, but instead you are going to be able to bring out 100% of your music.

3) Arranging --- To make sure that you keep your instrumentation skills, we need to put them to use, not only in your music, but also in an arrangement. Together we are going to work on changing the instrumentation in piece and making arrangements of them so that you have a better nderstanding on how the instrumentation of a piece affects directly the compositional proscess and purpose of a piece of music, but also what are the differences between the sound of each instrument while combining them. Also, this will help you make decisions about the result of the arrangement, do you want it to be true to the original, or not? If not, why, and how do you do that?

4) Music History --- Together we will listen to music and learn some basic music history so that you have a better understanding of the different styles, structures and aspects of music, from the Byzantium and Middle ages music, all the way to the music of today.

5) Improvisation --- If you are also an instrumental player, will work also with improvisation. With improvisation you can strengthen your compositional skills, by understanding your intuition, developing your ear, understanding your taste and learning to work with few material, but the most important thing is to learn how to listen and play music with others, because by learning that, you also learn how to communicate and listen all these musical ideas that you have within you before writting (playing) them, controling them and understanding what is needed and what is not in your music.

6) Film scoring --- If you are interested, in this lesson we will also learn how to adapt music to screen. We will learn how to spot the tempo, feeling and texture of a scene but also how to enhance the message of a movie/game/scene/theatre play/documentary with our music. Furthermore will will learn how to use software for midi composition, and VST instruments

7) Electroacoustic composition and sound design --- If you are also interested in electroacoustic music, in this lesson we will learn how to work with sound editting, mixing, design and engineering. We will listen and learn a lot of electroacoustic compositional tecniques to help you explore, understand and work with a complete different musical world. Our goal is to grow your musical perception and horizon.

8) Music notation and software --- For us composers to write our music sometimes we need to use some programs that help us. In the lesson we will learn how to use programs like that, like Musescore, Sibelius, Reaper etc.

Learn to play the electric bass or acoustic bass!
If you are interested in what role the bass has on a band and what kind of possibilites exist then this class is for you.

We look at a song of your choice and study useful elements from it so that you can apply these concepts in your playing.

We look into improvisation, technique,, and more!

I am also a composer so if you want to look into composition then this lesson is also for you.
In the lesson we will look into different methods for writing songs and dive into your ideas to try to make them stronger or to express a specific emotion through various tools.

I am a jazz musician based in Den Haag, I recently finished my masters degree in Conservatorium Maastricht focused mainly on performance, however I spent a lot of time of my studies developing my compositions.

I studied a classical piano bachelor, and later a jazz master and a live electronics master. In the meantime, I have been teaching music and playing synths, drum machines, and computers. It's longer than 5 years now!
Electronic music is a very vast world. The possibilities are endless. But do you need to learn everything, or only what interests you to make the music you want to do? From listening and analyzing a song you like, we will go through the necessary knowledge for you to achieve it:
- What do you need to build your home studio in order to create something similar?
- Which instruments (or plugins) are being used.
- Whether or not a knowledge of music theory is necessary.
- And in which different ways / through which paths could you achieve something like what you desire?

At the same time that we analyze and learn, you are also going to be encouraged to create! Practice makes the master, and the more you create, the more familiar you'll be with the tools and the environments that we learn in class. A part of the class is also going to be dedicated to listening to what you created and going through different ways we may improve it.

For people interested in live electronics (live-processing an acoustic instrument or programming live sets), I also have knowledge of Max MSP and I can teach the basics or help you program any kind of device you propose.

I am a jazz musician based in Den Haag, I recently finished my masters degree in Conservatorium Maastricht focused mainly on performance, however I spent a lot of time of my studies developing my compositions.

I can guide you through your steps into the music composition world. With experience both in concert music and music for audiovisuals, I can teach you to think like a creator and shape your pieces the way you want. I studied a classical piano bachelor, and later a jazz master and a live electronics master. In the meantime, I have been teaching music and playing synths, drum machines, and computers. It's longer than 5 years now!
Electronic music is a very vast world. The possibilities are endless. But do you need to learn everything, or only what interests you to make the music you want to do? From listening and analyzing a song you like, we will go through the necessary knowledge for you to achieve it:
- What do you need to build your home studio in order to create something similar?
- Which instruments (or plugins) are being used.
- Whether or not a knowledge of music theory is necessary.
- And in which different ways / through which paths could you achieve something like what you desire?

At the same time that we analyze and learn, you are also going to be encouraged to create! Practice makes the master, and the more you create, the more familiar you'll be with the tools and the environments that we learn in class. A part of the class is also going to be dedicated to listening to what you created and going through different ways we may improve it.

For people interested in live electronics (live-processing an acoustic instrument or programming live sets), I also have knowledge of Max MSP and I can teach the basics or help you program any kind of device you propose.

PD: I have also experienced imparting piano lessons, which is also a very important part of my professional practice. In case you are interested, it is also possible to mix the two worlds and create any kind of path between piano, synths, beats, and home studio techniques.

I'm a multi-instrumentalist, I provide classes a variety of instruments in different musical styles (jazz, pop, world music, classical).
I can also teach music theory and solfege (how to read and write music).
I always try to engage my students by focusing on what they really want to learn.

Learn to use your instrument and/or expand your knowledge using software and hardware which are not included in traditional music teaching.

For Guitar/Bass Players: Learn how to record your electric or acoustic guitar, how to use effects such as reverb, delay, compressor, tremolo, Overdrives, Distortion, etc, how to use a guitar amp and dial your own tone, how to use plug-ins, how to use a Guitar multi effect processor, etc !

For singers/songwriters: How to record your own songs from beginning to end, how set up a vocal chain, using professional microphones, effects on your voice, edit and mix, how to create simple vocal arrangements, etc

For Piano: Beginner Lessons, Learn songs by ear, to play with metronome, recording techniques, etc

Recording: Learn how to use a daw, mixer, speakers, audio interface, and all related hardware/software

Lessons are given in the Rotterdam Area, with optional home visits for an extra fee.

One of the best ways of learning is transcribing from great jazz musicians. In this vein, you can understand their playing and improve yours from the knowledge learned. Besides you also improve your ear. The students learn using the ear as a main tool in my lessons.

Graduate Vocal jazz, folk singer and Interdisciplinary Artist teaches singing, improvising , stage presence, song acting, vocal coaching, creative and composing practice.

There is not one single method for everybody, so first of all, we'll design a personalized system based on your current level, aims, and motivations. Then we go on to a simple idea: let's find your voice! What do you want to express on stage?

The goal is to connect with your natural artistic instincts, through a practical approach and having fun while doing something you love.
We will explore your potential together and discover the power of your voice.

As a graduate of both Cello and Piano in the Conservatory in Spain, and a final-year student of Compostion at CODARTS Rotterdam, I can provide very solid an tailor-made explanations and guidance for the discovery, understanding, and practice of musical concepts - theoretical, instrumental, and compositional. I strongly believe that everyone has the capacity to express themselves creatively to the highest degree, whether it be playing already existing pieces, improvising, or composing, and have tested methods for teaching how to read, write, integrate, and play around with musical information in my practice as a teacher in a Music School in Hoogvliet for the past 2 years.
