This class is for people who want to learn Spanish, all levels are welcome! Spanish is the second most spoken language in world, and as such is one that can prove to be very useful when traveling or wishing to make new friends.

In my classes I aim to keep my students engaged regardless of whether I am teaching them the must-knows of the language or, approaching more complicated texts and subjects with them. I also find that students very often learn better through literature, and because of that, I aim to introduce them to some Spanish Literature, which is renowed world-wide. I might ocassionally send homework to make sure that the knowledge is cemented, but at no point do I intend to overwhelm the student. I know that in many cases, schoolwork already takes up enough time!

I also very often use situations close to the student's experience, such as describing places they have been or talking about what they have experienced. At the same time, I teach the grammar rules to the student. I now live in regions where French has been spoken for over 30 years. My name is Dani and I am Mexican. I always ask my students about their specific goals and their preferred way of learning a language. In my classes I like to take a conversational approach, but this depends entirely on the needs of my students. I use different books with different didactic material, mostly Aula Plus and Bitacora. I also try to practice all skills: talking, writing and listening. If the student wants it, I leave homework, which I correct during the week before the next lesson, so that we can make the most of the lesson time. I share a word or phrase of the week with my students to build a useful vocabulary. Teaching is my passion. I feel motivated by the progress of my students, which I believe also keeps them motivated. German and Spanish are my native languages and I speak fluent English, I also speak fluent Dutch (with a little accent). Therefore, I can explain concepts in all these languages. However, I prefer to speak Spanish as much as possible, also for the beginners lessons, because I believe that people learn the language better that way.
