Ciao! Salve! I am Dutch, lived in Rome for more than 30 years and now I live in a small village in Sweden. I love Italy, its culture and language, and this resulted in a Master in Italian (and a Bachelor in French). Before I moved to Sweden I travelled with my former husband throughout the world. We lived in Australia, USA and in Europe speaking all their different languages. So, languages are a kind of “my thing”.
With me you can learn Italian at all levels; from your first approach to the most advanced. I like to give you tailor-fit lessons, which I will prepare in advance. Afterwards I will give you direct personal feed-back like transcripts of our conversation which could be of help for your further learning. I care mostly about speaking and learning the Italian culture, but also about right grammar use and vocabulary.

Learning a foreign language is not a linear process that consists of memorising a list of words, and speaking a foreign language is not an oral translation exercise.

There are two types of approaches to acquiring knowledge:

When asked what year follows 1999, you can immediately answer 2000 without having to think for a long time and, above all, without having memorised each number individually, starting with 1, 2, 3 ... Hi! My name is Daniela. I am half-German and half-Mexican, and for the past nine years, I’ve called the Netherlands home. My passion for languages is rooted in my multicultural background; as a native speaker of both Spanish and German who moved abroad at age ten, I learned English early on and completed both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in the language.
