I hold a degree in Illustration and Visual Media, and creativity has always been at the heart of everything I do. Teaching is one of my greatest passions. I love working with students of all ages, from young learners to adults, and I’m constantly inspired by the excitement that comes from discovering something new.

In my classes, we explore Art, Digital Art, and Art History dynamically and engagingly.
Lessons are hands-on, visually rich, and designed to make complex ideas more accessible.
I use a wide range of examples, visual maps, and interactive exercises to support different learning styles, especially helpful for visual learners and students with DSA.

Thanks to my background as a graphic designer, I bring practical, real-world experience to the classroom.
I teach using professional tools like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Canva, helping students not only understand artistic theory but also build valuable digital skills used in the industry today.

Here’s what my students benefit from:

A clear understanding of design workflows: from concept to final layout

A trained eye for composition, colour, typography, and visual balance

Creative exercises that encourage personal expression and experimentation

Guidance through design challenges using practical problem-solving

Real project experience with tips, tools, and insights beyond textbooks

I’m a patient and approachable teacher who believes in building a relationship based on trust, open communication, and creative freedom. My goal is to create a safe and inspiring space where students feel confident to express themselves, ask questions, and grow.

I studied History through high school, gaining knowledge of major eras (Ancient, Medieval, Modern), key events, historical figures, and the causes and consequences of events. I also developed skills in analysing sources and understanding how the past influences the present.

I use visual maps often to help students see spatial relationships and context, making history more concrete and memorable. I teach students of all ages, from children through to adults, and I always ensure that I provide summaries at the end of lessons so that key points are clear and retained. Throughout the class, I ask questions to students to check that they have understood the material and to promote active participation.

I studied Geography through high school: I gained knowledge of both physical and human geography, landforms, climate, population, migration, environment, and learned to analyse how places change over time and how humans interact with the environment. I have also developed skills in using maps, interpreting data, and making connections between what we see in the world and what we learn in class.

I teach students of all ages—from young children to adults—and I believe in making geography engaging and relevant. I use visual maps often to help students see spatial relationships and understand contexts more clearly. At the end of lessons, I do summaries, and I regularly ask questions to ensure students have really understood the material.

Because of my graphic design experience, I bring practical skills into geography lessons: using tools like Canva for creating visual maps and layout activities; and helping students work with design thinking so their geographic work is clear, clean, and visually effective. I aim not only to teach content but also to build confidence in interpreting maps, analysing places, and expressing ideas. I am patient, transparent, and committed to creating a trusting relationship with students so that learning happens in a safe, inspiring space.

The program is designed for students interested in concept art, illustration, visual storytelling, and portfolio preparation for art schools, animation/game-related programs, or independent artistic development. It follows a mentorship-based approach, combining artistic foundations, conceptual thinking, and portfolio strategy, adapted to everyone's style, vision and long-term goals.

What's in it?

PART I

1. Artistic & visual language

• Traditional drawing & illustration techniques
• Shape & form study
• Light, color & values
• Composition & visual storytelling

2. World-building & visual thinking

• Environment design (natural & built spaces)
• Props, objects, and visual detail
• Character concepts (anatomy basics, silhouettes, expression)
• Style exploration (realistic, stylized, symbolic, experimental)
• References vs originality: how to build from research without imitation

3. Cognitive & creative process

• Artistic thinking & workflow
• From idea to image
• Documentation & reference gathering
• Moodboards & visual research
• Iteration, selection, refinement
• Knowing when a piece is finished

4. Digital foundations (optional / hybrid)

• Transition from traditional to digital
• 2D digital tools & workflows
• Layer logic, brushes, textures
• Digital painting fundamentals
• Presentation-ready images
• Case studies from professional concept artists & illustrators

This section is optional and may be skipped for students with prior digital experience. In such cases, the focus will be on refining and strengthening what has already been acquired.

IMPORTANT!

All sections in Part I (artistic practice, visual language, world-building, technical and digital foundations) are approached according to the student’s existing level, from beginner to advanced. If foundational skills are already present, these areas will not be repeated mechanically; instead, the focus will shift toward portfolio development, conceptual depth, and refinement of existing work.

PART II

Portfolio development & mentorship

1. Portfolio building

• Defining the student’s artistic direction
• Selecting and developing strong themes
• Creating cohesive series, not isolated images
• Aligning personal style with academic or professional expectations
• Consistent review, feedback, and refinement

2. Application-specific support (where applicable)

• Portfolio selection & sequencing
• Artist statements or motivation letters (with visuals)
• Adapting work to specific institutions or programs
• Understanding evaluation criteria
