I have been in the world of music since my early teens and have gathered experience with both violin and viola, even though I ended especializing in the latter, performing but also teaching children and adults. My several years of university studies have given me a functional and integral knowledge of Music Theory. Regarding Chamber Music, which is my life passion, I have studied and performed in a wide variety of contexts and places in Europe and America. In the Netherlands, I received my Master's Degree in Viola at the Maastricht Conservatory.

Hello! My name is Ana, I am 32 years old and I am a violin teacher with 10+ years of teaching experience working with children and adults, specializing in creating a supportive environment for beginners and advanced players. I am based in Maastricht and I teach at my violin studio in Scharn.

My teaching focuses on developing solid technique and musicality in a friendly and encouraging environment. I help students build a strong foundation and enjoy music-making. Over the years I have developed my own teaching method which includes elements from ABRSM, Trinity, Suzuki and Galamian methods, as well as covers standard violin repertoire. This makes learning structured and fun. For optimal development, I organize frequent lessons with the piano accompanist as well as a two class concerts per year in various locations in Maastricht, where everybody is welcome to join and support! Because I am always fully committed to my students, I like to study each case individually and prepare for each lesson beforehand.

A bit about my teaching background: both my parents are violin teachers, so this is my world since I can remember. As soon as I started conservatory in London I started teaching privately and in a music school while I was studying performance and music pedagogy. I am proud to have very high-level students that have pursued a career in music and have become exceptional violinists.

I currently divide my time between teaching violin and playing as Co-Principal second violin at Philharmonie Zuidnederland, as well as freelancing in other orchestras like Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Rotterdam Philharmonisch Orkest and Nederlands Philharmonisch Orkest. I gained my Bachelor's Degree from the Royal College of Music in London with a specialization in teaching and a Master's Degree from Musikhochschule Lübeck. I was an academist at the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in 2017/2018.

Lessons can be in Dutch, English or Spanish.

In addition to piano and singing lessons, I also offer music lessons. These lessons are individual and of course go much broader than just learning to read the music script. In addition to reading, we are also working on ear training, intonation and sight reading, harmony, ... music theory as a whole!

It is also possible to take these lessons as a tutor, so supplement your lessons at the music academy. As a teacher I mainly focus on what you need as a student to succeed at the music academy.

The lessons can be taken individually or in group for those who wish.

In the lessons, we will be focusing on setting or developing all the required skills for the students to be able to perform independently, understand the musical language, and explore their own sound. Focusing on posture, hand coordination, rhythm, ear training, reading scores, and improvisation. So far my musical exposure in many different genres allows me to create a lesson that is adapted to the specific needs of my students. I have garnered the patience and belief in the idea that anyone can become a part of the music world with the proper amount of attention and guidance.

Certified violinist / viola player gives (viola) violin lessons to 4 to ... year olds. In short, anyone can learn to play the violin or viola!

The lessons are given with the motto: what you like to do, you do better. So having fun in a musical way is central.

A lesson lasts 30 minutes and is given in Bree.

Dear music lovers,

I'm a professional violin and viola player who teaches students of all ages and levels.
During my musical education I had the opportunity to study in different conservatories in Spain, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands and Switzerland, awakening in me a passion for teaching the violin and viola and thus beginning to give private lessons and coaching youth orchestras.

In my lessons I help the student to feel enjoyment while playing, and feel happy with their instrument in order to connect with their musical imagination.
Considering the level and age, different methods and exercises will structure the lesson in order to get good aural skills, sense of rhythm and an optimal body posture.

Not only interested in classical music?
The stable technical base you will reach during the lessons will give you the tools to feel free and comfortable playing in other styles with your instrument.

Are you looking for a teacher to take clarinet lessons? You can contact me for this. I teach all ages, children, young people and adults. The lesson is completely tailored to the student, and is mainly practically oriented.

I already have experience in teaching clarinet.
Nut leather is - if necessary - integrated during the clarinet lesson.

With younger children who are not (yet) following music theory, I work with the ukulila method, among other things. We work playfully and creatively here.

If you already have a clarinet, you can bring it with you for the first lesson.
If you don't have a clarinet yet, we will look together for a suitable clarinet to play on.
Never buy an instrument without a teacher.

Hello! My name is Aga and I'm a fresh graduate of Conservatorium Maastricht in Jazz Vocals. I offer singing, piano and/or music theory lessons for beginners or intermediate students. The most important thing for me is an individual approach and establishing student's goals.. We will learn your favourite songs, different vocal/piano techniques, lyrics interpretation, proper posture and we can also dive into improvisation and composition - if you want!:)

You're in good hands! As a professional cellist for 14 years now, including as a member of major European and Australian opera and philharmonic orchestras, I welcome all students, from those picking up the instrument for the first time to those preparing for professional auditions.

My primary aim in teaching is to create an atmosphere of mutual trust and respect in which students can draw motivation to set and accomplish their goals, with my full commitment towards helping them achieve those. Getting the foundations of good playing and good musicianship right is of course a very close and no less important second!

During their journey, students can count on my patience, understanding and sympathy to help them through all challenges. I tailor my teaching style to fit all students based on their individual needs and wishes, or those of their parents if they're too young to decide for themselves.

I'm determined to break the stereotype of teachers being failed performers and teach not only by demonstration, but by playing with students as an accompanist or duet partner, even with absolute beginners.
