Good morning! Hello!

My name is Dan. I'm an American from the most beautiful city in the midwest: Chicago.

I have lived in Paris for the last seven years and am now in Lausanne. I am friendly, smiling, and I have a lot of patience.

I offer English lessons for all levels and all ages. I am ready to successfully complete these courses and support you in achieving your goal.

I give lessons of 1 hour, 1 hour 30 minutes or 2 hours. – Face-to-face or video courses.

I understand the difficulties of learning a new language and don't worry about making mistakes. I'm here to explain everything to you in a way that will help build your confidence in speaking English.

We will work on pronunciation, grammar, ease and fluency of oral expression. I like to include humor in my lessons and teach idioms.

You won't need to go to Chicago to learn English, since you have someone available from Chicago to Lausanne. (We say Chicagoan)

I also do coaching for professional interviews in English. To help you articulate and express yourself.

About Me
Hello and welcome 😊

I am a CELTA-certified English teacher, originally from the USA (Chicago) and based in Lausanne. I teach English to teenagers and adults who want to gain confidence, improve their speaking skills, and use English naturally in real life, studies, or work.

My approach is human, structured, and personalized. Every student is different: some want to feel more comfortable speaking in public, others are preparing for an exam, an interview, or a specific professional context. My role is to adapt to your goals, your pace, and your personality.

I emphasize:
- authentic communication
- confidence in speaking
- a clear and useful grammar (never abstract)
- active and motivating learning

I work in a relaxed and supportive environment, while remaining demanding and organized. I particularly enjoy supporting students who already have a foundation but don't yet dare to fully express themselves — as well as those who have had bad experiences in the past and wish to start afresh on a solid foundation.

My goal: to help you express yourself naturally and confidently, by exploring your voice through music, film, games, and anything else you are passionate about.
