For the past 8 years Muneaki has been teaching the piano to students of various age, including pre-school children to seniors. He currently teaches at his home studio as well as a Culture Center.

His recently opened class in his home studio is well received, with increasing number of students. Muneaki has also been actively engaged in composition and regularly organizes public performance event for general audiences with emphasis in local community engagement. Muneaki is a Japanese/American music teacher catering to people of all ages. He has obtained good reputations from students/clients and is committed to become a better one.

Education

Muneaki has been educated in the US, Australia and Japan. He has graduated from Tokyo College of Music in 2004, majoring in composition. He also received a degree from Tokyo College of Welfare in 2021.

Violins come in many sizes and it is important to use the correct size to produce pleasing sounds. Yoyogi Uehara Music School carries all sizes of violins.

I am a professional pianist, who have over 20 years experience in teaching piano and music theory.

I teach all ages, beginners to professionals, have many international students, and a class for Associations Franco-Japonais (AFJ), in English, French, and Japanese.

I also prepare students for exams or competitions, such as Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM, ARSM, DipABRSM), and Advanced Placement (AP) Music Theory, etc., and most of my students have achieved with distinction.

In my class, considering capabilities of each student, we will work and find together what is the best way for them to enjoy music, based on technical assurance and control, matching musical interpretation, communication, and delivery.

As a violin teacher, my goal is to create a positive learning environment while cultivating the student’s love for music. I believe in developing music-reading as well as ear-training skills in my student’s music education. I work hard to tailor each lesson to meet the individual student’s musical goals, level and learning style. I have experience teaching students from age 3 to adult and from absolute beginner to college-level students. As a conservatory trained violinist, I teach a solid foundation in violin technique, theory and repertoire. I currently maintain a private violin studio in Yokohama and one in my home in Kawasaki.
