I am a qualified and reliable English teacher, able to teach all abilities and ages from toddlers up to adults.
My one on one lessons range from learning the alphabet and most importantly phonics for children, ranging up to grammar, context and advanced English skills in adults. I aim to keep students engaged but not overwhelmed.
English lessons begin with a test adapted to get a feel for what level of English the student is currently working at. Resources will then be adapted to ensure we are making progress and continuing to learn at a high level which engages the student. I believe in being led by the student as much as leading the student. It is important students learn thoroughly rather than rushing important steps which can get forgotten.
Younger years benefit from reading, word and sound games and extra resources where as adult classes can expect learning through reading, speaking, grammar and writing exercises - each lesson will be a mixture of all learning resources to ensure optimum engagement.

As an experienced teacher, having studied at the University of Nottingham, I am enthusiastic about helping anyone who wants to learn or improve their English by having fun reading and speaking.

I am a Belgian (Flemish) and French student with a Masters in International Public Law (Amsterdam) and a Masters in Global development (University of Copenhagen). World traveler, I have lived in Thailand, Denmark, Greece, the Netherlands, US, Switzerland and many more countries, where I both dtudies and worked as a legal advisor.

I have been tutoring since 2017, both in person, in schools and online, since 2017, I have been working with around 250 students, located everywhere in the world! Here is an overview of my previous tutoring experience:

2022-Now:
Online tutoring on Apprentus, (approx 12h/week).

2023:
Tutor of Dutch at Varady Language school in Geneva

2021-2022:
I worked at "bijlesthuis," a Dutch tutoring institution, where I primarily taught French, Dutch, and English to adult learners seeking to improve their language skills. During the same period, I also provided classes to other students through Apprentus.

2021:
Through Apprentus and other websites, I assisted several younger students (ages 5-15) in Bern and Geneva, helping them improve their skills in subjects such as Maths and French.

2017-2020:
I worked for three years at a tutoring institution in Geneva called ARA, where I primarily taught French, Mathematics, and English.

During this time, I also spent two years working at a private school called Florimont, where I supported students aged 11-16 across various subjects by assisting them with their homework.

I can teach French, Dutch, and English, Spanish and in German, and I thoroughly enjoy teaching and assisting students in their progress and acquisition of new skills.

As a person, I am flexible, calm, and positive.

Are you looking for a qualified English teacher from England? You have the possibility to improve your English while being supervised by your teacher. You can work on your grammar, writing, speaking and pronunciation. Are you desperate to pass your exams, prepare yourself for an interview or correct an essay? Or do you want to go to an English school or follow an English programme? The teacher is open to your requests.
Maybe you want to share your English lesson with some of your friends? It is possible to form a group at a reduced price, tell me with whom you would like to form a group. ;-) If not, the lessons are also individualised (private).
