I mainly specialise in maths and english but have also studied history, physical education, religion education and french as well as biology chemistry and physics

As Head Girl of my Secondary School and Sixth Form, I have developed as being a great spokesperson and feel confident to project and present. Thanks to school, I admire working in a team and am good at contributing as well as collaborating and am very sociable and expressive when I need to be. I obtain great leadership skillsand am known to be very persuasive as well as engaging, through gaining votes andexperience in school elections. Currently, as Head Prefect in my school I representand deal with whole school matters. English Literature is an extremely important and, for many students, compulsory part of education. This class is about improving the skills needed for close, thematic reading of both old and more contemporary texts. Using overarching themes found across literature, as well as giving suggestions for other relevant texts, this class aims not only to help pass any exams, but to also enrich your understanding and appreciation of the subject.

Outside of exams, especially for any adults, this class can be a more freeform discussion of novels or poetry for anyone who wants to enjoy literature on a deeper level but isn't quite sure where to start or what avenues of thought to explore.

In this class, we'll work on shaping new drafts whilst learning about international poetic forms as well as producing some free verse work. We'll edit our material and, if we have multiple sessions, we'll put together a brief collection! We will explore the world of the senses, memories, and connect to language in a new, profound way. You'll be taught by a published poet with work experience in the UK and North America.
