I am a professional violinist, graduated from Music Academy in Lodz (Poland). I have 5-years-long teaching experience gained while working in a music school in Poland as a violin teacher and giving private lessons. Currently I am improving my knowledge at the University of Arts in Bern in Master Music Pedagogy. I offer private violin classes in Bern for all levels and all ages.
If you like music and want to learn how to play violin or you need help in improving your skills, I would be happy to work with you!
The lessons can take place at Hochschule der Künste (HKB - Bern Breitenrain) or in a student's place.

Lessons available in English, German or Polish.

I am a professional violinist with long teaching experience. For me as a musician and violin teacher the most important thing is to interest my students in music and show them how by playing violin express emotions, ideas and bring fun to every-day life. I always try to have a very individual attitude to every of my students, so they can improve their playing faster, perform with lots of joy and be satisfied with the effects. Music brings people in a different, better world - it's worth to know it, experience it and become a part of it.

Education

I've graduated of Music Academy of Lodz in Poland - Bachelor and Master in Music Performance, Violin.
Now I'm a student of the University of Arts in Bern, Switzerland in Master Music Pedagogy, Violin.

I have a 5 years-long experience in teaching - I teach privately and was a violin teacher in a music school in Poland. During my studies I did a pedagogical degree so I have all competences to teach in public institutions. Now I'm improving my knowledge in violin teaching - field in Switzerland.

Passionate about Pedagogy, I teach violin since 2013, for all ages and all levels. I graduated from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam (Bachelor and Orchestra Master), and from the Hochschule der Kunste Bern (master in pedagogy).

I also did many replacements for violin lessons, solfege and musical awakening in various conservatories and schools in France, the Netherlands and in Switzerland and I am teaching solfege in Delémont (EJCM).

My goal as an experienced teacher is to help my students find their musical souls, weight out their imagination and awake their creativity using the tools of body awareness, motivation, discipline and fun.

The main emphasis during my lessons can be found in emotionality. The core of good music is expression or it's lack in the certain pieces. Self-confidence, self-awareness and conscious choice of means of expression are an important subject to the lessons. My goal is to open minds and inject my students with an analytical approach towards difficulties in their playing at the same time learning easy-coming, quick and simple resolutions. Most of all it's about fun. Fun and pleasure. As one said: "What is creation? Creation is passion. And what is passion? Passion is love." Threw introducing my students the musical world I live in, I try to help them find their own way of loving what's in between the notes.

I offer violin/viola lesson for students in any level, and piano lessons for beginners to intermediate level. Students should be older than 5 year old.

Beginners as well as advanced or returnees of all ages are welcome.

I myself come from Aargau, but live and study in Bern at the University of the Arts. I am currently pursuing a master's degree in education. In addition to great chamber music and improvisation projects, I play and organize in the Bern student orchestra. I also have many years of experience with wind orchestras and enjoy leading register rehearsals.
In addition to music, I really enjoy being in nature, for example in the mountains or the refreshing Aare. I also enjoy reading and am interested in psychological topics.

This course is aimed at beginner and intermediate students of classical violin, jazz and contemporary music.

For beginner students:
We cover technical elements such as violin and bow positioning and holding, bow movement, left-hand placement, scales, and positions. We also work on developing ear training and rhythm. We may also introduce basic music theory concepts, such as reading notes.
Finally, we work on learning pieces, according to the student's desires and musical styles.

For intermediate students, here are different approaches depending on their musical styles and desires.

For jazz and improvised music: scales or arpeggios that can be played on a given chord, modes and their use, rhythm, improvisation exercises, phrasing (swing, Latin, funk, etc.), learning jazz standards, how to amplify on stage, etc.

For classical music: scales and arpeggios, technical exercises for the left and right hand, how to put together a piece, musicality and interpretation.
