Hallo, ich bin Catherina und studiere derzeit Grundschulpädagogik. Mein Schwerpunkt im Studium liegt auf dem Themengebiet der Germanistik sowie Deutsch als Zweitsprache zu lehren. Diesbezüglich konnte ich bereits einige Erfahrungen sammeln, da ich für 2 Monate in Mexiko an einer deutschen Auslandsschule (Colegio Aleman) unterrichtet habe und darin ebenfalls meine Leidenschaft gefunden habe.

Kursbeschreibung:
Der Kurs richtet sich an alle Schüler*innen der Grundschule aller Niveaustufen, die Deutsch oder Englisch als Fremdsprache erlernen möchten oder Nachhilfeunterricht nehmen möchten. Ich werde den Aufbau und die Inhalte individuell an die Bedürfnisse der jeweiligen Schüler*innen anpassen und auf ihre Bedürfnisse abstimmen. Allgemein liegt der Fokus in meinen Unterricht auf praxisnahen Themeninhalten und lebhaftem Lernen durch Spaß und Motivation. Themen können ebenfalls mit Hobbys der Kinder verbunden werden um das Interesse am Sprachen erlenen zu erhöhen.

After completing a Political Science degree with a focus in International Relations and Spanish at UCLA, I finished, with merit, a postgraduate business degree (MBA) at the University of Liverpool. In addition, I am a certified high school mathematics teacher in the United States with experience teaching subjects such as Algebra I, Algebra II, and test preparation. I taught high school math for multiple years in East LA with the program Teach for America that places top university graduates in under served neighbourhoods. As I lived in the UK for many years and have taught many British students, I am also intimately familiar with the UK curriculum. Furthermore, I have tutored students studying the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum for many years. Lastly, I have a TEFL credential, which has allowed me to teach English to dozens of students.

Escuchar, hablar, leer, escribir, y bailar.
Mi lengua materna es mandarín chino, enseño mandarín tradicional en todos niveles.
Hablo inglés británico, sólo enseño inglés a niños de 6-12 años.
Enseño bailes latino americano: cha cha cha, rumba, jive, samba y paso doble. Las clases de baile solo se realiza presencialmente.
La clases de idiomas se realiza online o en el bar (la cafetería).

About Me

Born in London to French and American parents, I grew up between the three countries and now live in Barcelona. In addition to teaching, I also run my own business as a football agent.

As a friendly tutor that will make lessons fun for you, I want to empower you to achieve your goals! I am able to match the needs of my students depending on their ability level and age. Ranging from five to seventy five, my students appreciate my individualised approach to their learning and my constant attention to their well being and detail. I try to make lessons fun so that you can be empowered to achieve your best results possible!

Qualifications

After completing a Political Science degree with a focus in International Relations and Spanish at UCLA, I finished, with merit, a postgraduate business degree (MBA) at the University of Liverpool. In addition, I am a certified high school mathematics teacher in the United States with experience teaching subjects such as Algebra I, Algebra II, and test preparation. I taught high school math for multiple years in East LA with the program Teach for America that places top university graduates in under served neighbourhoods. As I lived in the UK for many years and have taught many British students, I am also intimately familiar with the UK curriculum. Furthermore, I have tutored students studying the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum for many years. Lastly, I have a TEFL credential, which has allowed me to teach English to dozens of students.

Ich scherze immer gerne und sage, dass das Leben zu kurz ist, um Deutsch zu lernen, aber ehrlich gesagt hängt es davon ab, welchen Lehrer man hat und wie viel Spaß einem der Unterricht macht! Ich denke, solange man sich gut fühlt und motiviert ist und eine Person neben sich sitzt, die positive Worte zu einem sagt, kann man es schaffen, seine Kenntnisse in kurzer Zeit zu erweitern

Mit mir hast du eine Freundin, mit der du in deiner Freizeit einen Kaffee trinken oder an den Strand gehen kannst. Ich bin sehr offen und kommunikativ und möchte, dass unser Unterricht mehr ist als nur trockene Theorie. Ich bringe meine Persönlichkeit in den Unterricht ein, damit es für uns beide interessant und lebendig bleibt!

Meine Muttersprache ist Deutsch und ich kann meine Sprache auf allen Niveaus unterrichten, für Kinder und Erwachsene. Mehr als zehn Jahre Erfahrung. Mein Schwerpunkt liegt auf Grammatik und Konversation. Deutsch hat viel Grammatik und ich versuche immer zu vermitteln, wie die Sprache funktioniert und wie die Deutschen sie tatsächlich sprechen, nicht nur, wie man die Regeln befolgt. Wir machen viel Sprechen, Übungen, Spiele oder interaktive Aktivitäten. Abhängig von Ihrem Niveau gibt es auch Unterricht in deutscher Geschichte, deutscher Politik und Unterschieden zwischen Deutsch, Österreichisch oder Schweizerdeutsch.

Hi, my name is Daniele. I’m 24 years old, a native English and Russian speaker, and I’ve lived in four different countries while traveling extensively around the world. Being exposed to different cultures, people, and ways of thinking has shaped both how I communicate and how I teach.

I completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) program and have a strong academic foundation in English. I help students improve their English from basic to intermediate level, whether the goal is conversation, grammar, writing, essays, or homework support. My focus is not just correctness, but helping you build confidence and speak naturally in real-life situations.

Russian is my mother tongue, and I also offer conversational Russian for beginners and early intermediate learners. I help students understand the structure of the language, build practical vocabulary, and feel comfortable using Russian in everyday conversation.

In addition, I speak Spanish, which allows me to explain concepts and grammar in Spanish when helpful, especially for beginners who feel more comfortable learning through their native language.

My teaching style is flexible and adapts to each student’s learning needs. Lessons can be structured or conversational, depending on your goals — whether that’s improving fluency, preparing school assignments, or simply feeling more confident using the language.
