I have been learning the violin and piano since 5 years old, and am currently taking a bachelor's in Music Performance in Violin, at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp.
Students of any age are welcome, and I have special experience with beginner and younger students, having given a lot of lessons in piano and music theory.
I teach in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and basic Dutch.

The individual violin lessons are personalized and tailored to the progress and learning ability of each student. Emphasis is placed on developing good posture and ease of movement at the early stage. We will then continue to revise and enhance technique while taking on a more challenging repertoire as they progress.
Lessons are stress-free and I always try to provide a safe and calm environment for an engaging and fun class!
Games for little kids are an absolute must!

Hi, my name is Sara! Nice to meet you!
I am a Portuguese violinist studying at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp. Music has been a central point of my life since I could remember, and teaching is a big passion too.
I have taught music theory for many years, especially to younger students and I have been for a few years teaching violin and piano, from beginner to intermediate students.
I am a very creative person, interested in helping others grow musically through an engaging and stress-free class environment:)

I will encourage you to get clear goals, support you in finding a good practice rhythm. We will decide together what pieces you can approach, depending on your tastes and your skills. I will teach you music theory and you might need to prepare a homework for each lesson. My goal is making you to be able to learn and play a piece by yourself in the shortest time possible.
I gladly teach beginners and advanced, students preparing for auditioning to conservatoire are welcome as well.
I teach on a grand piano (Ixelles) or I can come to your place (we need to discuss it).

I am a concert pianist, I've got my first diploma in Romania. I studied also in Austria (Salzburg) and in Switzerland (Zürich). I play in different chamber music groups, I accompany and I teach piano.

Cello Lessons for all levels:
My main goal with my teaching is to share my passion for music with my students. I believe strongly that this passion leads to discipline and curiosity which benefit all other aspects of one's life. Whether or not my students decide to pursue music as their main profession, I believe they have much to gain from learning the cello. Besides the discipline one learns, Music-making in itself is fulfilling!! :)

Conservatory Preparation:
In my experience as a musician living and working in Belgium for the past 9 years, I have noticed a gap in the musical education of young Belgian music students transitioning from Music academies into Conservatories. Oftentimes, these young music students seeking to enter conservatories do not possess the necessary skill level to enter higher education in Music. Through my private teaching, I intend to bridge this gap by catering specifically (though not exclusively) to these students. I strongly believe that there is a huge demand for this type of teaching which I am capable of providing.

Trough the course of my education period and in my professional life I have stumbled upon a lot of issues and difficulties I needed to figure out how to solve. Studying with multiple professors and going to private lessons gave me (and still is) different pieces of the puzzle and together with my own observations, I started to understand it is really about knowing how things operate and giving it some love and practice. I want to share everything I know to help you become a great violin player.

This class is for those who are new to music, but have always wondered how it works!
That is why I offer the basics of musical knowledge.
The focus is on:
- music theory (understanding notes, rhythm the basics of harmony, solfege - in a FUN way)
- reading music (reading music from a score, sight- singing)
