About me:

My name is Olivér, I’m 22 years old, and I make music! I believe anyone can play, and if we practice well it can add playfulness to our lives. In my lessons, I strive for a friendly, human, yet disciplined atmosphere. Starting from the basics, through the technical part of playing, cold and warm chords, and all the way to gaining a deeper understanding of compositions, we can cover everything that will help you move forward on your musical journey!
I gained my knowledge from Tamás Józsa and at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, majoring in Jazz Bass Guitar.

In my lessons subjects can come up such as:

- Bass guitar playing: Grooves, frettborad overview, left and right hand techniques, soloing
- Jazz, bossa nova, blues, pop, fusion, rock language
- Composing
- Music theory, chord, structure, rhythm and melody analysis from a pop and jazz perspective.

Hi! I have over 7 years of teaching experience from young kids to adults of all levels and I love it! My goal is for my students to find joy in playing an instrument and have fun during the lessons. Cello and/or Music theory lesson for children, adolescent and adult of any level, from beginner to advanced level.
The lesson will be in English or in French.
The most important things to me is to combined pleasure, hard working and sharing.
I will try to make my student play with each other as often as possible and try to organised some small projects like student concerts with maybe some rhythmical workshop, solo pieces or ensemble pieces.

Hey there! In my lessons, what you want is the most important. That's why we create together a plan of study with ideas, goals and subjects to reach out our dream to make music (that's also my dream)

Nevertheless, I can give you an overview of the content:

I divide the music theory in two: Technical and Musical.
Technical Theory regarding all the concepts and information related to music, and Musical Theory regarding the ideas and concepts to help us understand and improve the performance of music. Besides that, we look to harmony in a functional, rhythmical and organic way. We learn and approach music from the first lesson, looking at it from different angles (understanding rhythm and essence of a song for example). All this plus a nice diet of assignments and exercises: D

Furthermore, we put especial attention to enjoying music. That means playing but also listening music! For me, that's one of the best ways to learn :)

And of course, we learn as well by making mistakes, so at the end it's all about fun and trying things out;)

I believe that understanding music theory in relation to the music can deepen the experience for everyone from an instrumentalist to a composer or producer. Lessons are addressed to every student profile, regardless of age, level of expectations (no matter if it is seen as a hobby or rather if the individual is getting prepared for official Conservatory auditions, etc.).

We will play and/or focus on what the student is willing to deepen into (whatever music style they are interested in, more theoretical aspects or rather practical ones), trying to get the maximum profit of the employed time, and prioritising the actual learning of the person as the main factor for their motivation.

I obtained my Jazz Music Master's program at the Prince Claus Conservatoire of Groningen in June 2022.
Previously, in 2018, I graduated from my music Bachelor's at the Conservatorio Superior de Música del Liceu in Barcelona (Spain).

That amazing bass riff from Muse, that lovely song from Coldplay or super cool funky Bruno Mars.

Or maybe you dream of the warm cuddly sound of the double bass, playing with the bow and feel the vibration of the Wood. Playing some Jazz, along with Miles Davis or Wayne Shorter.

With almost 20 years of experience in the low tones world I can guide you in the study of electric bass and double bass.
I'm an active performer and touring musician, as well as a master graduated Bass player. (Conservatorium van Amsterdam)

Through the music that you love we'll find the right path to discover the world of the Bass.

Teaching songs you don't really like is a no-go for me. I'll help you figure out which 'classics' are there to practice on and I'll give advice about technique and timing etc.. Also, if you're really curious, I can teach you some music theory. My general goal is to get you hooked to playing. When bored, grab your guitar, not your phone!
