I have nearly 30 years experience in primary education and have sucessfully taught mathematics to all abilities of children. I have been a leading mathematics teacher in North Yorkshire and a primary mathematics consultant for Bradford LEA for 8 years. I am currently a SENDCo and Maths Leader for a Bradford Primary School on a part time basis. I do have a Mathematics degree but more importanly I am up to date with current best practice in the teaching of mathematics. This class will make use of a range of mathematics games and investigations that will help your child gain confidence and resilience in mathematics. It will use reasoning , a range of arithmetic skills as well as making mathematics fun for your child

This class will assess where your child is in regards to their mathematical learning. I will then use effective questioning to enable your child to make progress with their learning. This will be done through developing your child's confidence and resilience if required. It will add to the mathematics that your child is getting from school and will do this by enhancing your child's reasoning and problem solving skills, whilst also teaching the mathematical domains
