Xavier - Barcelona25€
Trusted teacher: Experiència de més de 20 anys donant classes d'anglès i català a grups reduïts d'ESO i Batxillerat i classes de repàs en el sector de les Humanitats. Doy clases de inglés desde hace muchos años. He impartido a grupos reducidos y a particulares de repaso (ESO y Bachillerato). Me desplazo. My name is Xavier. I was born in Barcelona... a long time ago. I grow up in this town, but now I live a bit far from here. I studied at the University of Barcelona and in Huddersfield (near Shefield, Halifax, Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool,...not very far from York: quite nice places and better people), and I've been teaching Catalan, Spanish, Phillsofy, History and English for a long time...since I was 16. What happened? Very short, I promise: I was walking down the street two years ago, from just opposite this private school, and I thought myself: well, you might enter this place and see. I like English language very much... and the UK,... but I don' t have a poster of the Queen on my bedroom's wall. It was a sort of a blind date. And there she was: her smile, her diligence, effectiveness. Eva listened to me. And after two weeks she was texting me for a class. Please, Xavier, can you cover for some classes? And here I am. English Studio, Academy of English in Barcelona, where I used to be a teacher until Covid 19 knocked at the door of our lives, and teachers and students had to be at home. Professional Objective: English teacher. Morning shift: Professional experience More than 15 years in several Contact Centers as an Agent or as a Team Leader or Supervisor. Companies: Teletech, Telefono Permanente, MST, Teleperformance and Promofon. As a Team Leader / Supervisor: more than three years in Teleperformance and Promofon, (ONO), making sure the group of Agents were appropriatly trained and equipped to resolve doubts, problems and change requests; makintg sure the team could respond effectively to Account Managers ` requests for further information and , when necessary, take proactive action to ensure they were aware of an issue. And last but not least, every day monitoring work, keeping an eye on the activity of premium learners, ensuring the team was taking the necessary proactive action, either by phone or email. I had to support very often other colleagues in accordance with business needs and to share ideas to improve business practices and the quality of the service. More than 20 years as an English teacher. Also, Spanish, Catalan an Humanities subjects. Qualifications: Universitat Central de Barcelona, Law Studies. Fluent English and intermediate level of French. Native level of Catalan and Spanish

Ona - Barcelona30€
Trusted teacher: I am a native teacher from Barcelona, with a degree in History and as a Spanish teacher for foreigners. I also have a masters degree in teaching. I have been teaching Spanish and Catalan private lessons for over 15 years, but I’ve also taught in the context of cultural associations and the French and Catalan national education. I am always happy to be part of my students’ learning journey; no matter what level you have, we will learn plenty of things together! :) I offer dynamic Catalan online classes adapted to each person and their needs. My lessons are oriented to all levels, using the language in real and pedagogic contexts. As a teacher, I am very interested in letting my students learn not only the language but also the Catalan culture, as it is a fundamental aspect to really be able to succeed in the learning process. In order to do so, we will work on all the different competences (oral and writing skills), grammar and vocabulary, of course, but also I like to use some real texts, videos, songs, etc., so we can get the chance to learn from real instructional materials and discuss the news and culture. The most important thing is to try to communicate in Catalan so you will become more and more fluent. We will get there step by step! I’ve helped a lot of students pass their exams, prepare their interviews and resumes, or just be comfortable in their oral practise. I am used to teach a language from scratch, I have long experience teaching high levels as well. Please, contact me for further information and let me know how I can help you.

Trusted teacher: My name is Gabriel, I am 18 years old and I have been studying piano since I was 4 years old in recognized institutions such as Casa Sors (academy) and Tremolo (pseudo-conservatory) here in Barcelona. I have always played the piano for recreational purposes, but that has not prevented me from reaching a good level. In addition, I have perfected my skills under the guidance of excellent private teachers. My vocation for teaching is purely for fun, I like to teach how to play the instrument that makes me so happy. In any language you want! Availability to teach in different languages: Catalan (native), Spanish (native), English (C2) and French (B2 and Bachibac). Information about classes • I am addressing students with a beginner level or who want to resume the study of this instrument • My approach is very practical and direct, ideal for those seeking effective results as well as useful and enriching learning. • I offer the possibility of giving classes at my home in Barcelona or travelling to any home in Barcelona and surrounding areas (Sabadell, Terrassa, Sant Cugat, Hospitalet de Llobregat, Esplugues, Cornellà, among others). Experience and skills • I have experience teaching piano to family and friends. • In addition, I am a basketball coach for learning categories, which has allowed me to develop skills to work well with boys and girls of young ages as well as adolescents. • I have also given several concerts in residences and I am also good at working with older people. Don't miss this opportunity to learn to play the piano in a fun and effective way! Contact me for more information and to schedule your lessons.

I am passionate about Sociology, Philosophy and History. I have a good level of English and two years ago I graduated from the Humanistic Baccalaureate at the Abat Oliba Spínola school. My Catalan is native as is my Spanish. I am kind, empathetic, I know how to adapt, I have an open mind but I do not impose my values (I know how to respect the values of other people and what they have been taught), I get involved with my students, I like to teach and I am good at it, I am responsible and also punctual. I have good writing and my handwriting is good and legible for all types of people. I love writing texts and essays, and I am good at correcting spelling mistakes since I very rarely make any when writing. I am not currently working but I do study in the morning on weekdays, so my availability is in the afternoons and on weekends. I can travel and I offer classes both in person and online (Zoom, Meet, Classroom, etc.). I am attentive, I have a quick and great capacity for resolution and reaction. I have the certificate of successful completion of four courses from the Pere Tarrés Foundation in: “Emotional education in educational environments”, “Prevention of racism, xenophobia and homophobia in school”, “Conflict resolution” and “Communication skills”. This is my first work experience but I am looking forward to starting work and being able to share my knowledge and teach. As a hobby, I sometimes like to read Sociology books or research philosophers. In high school and 4th year of ESO I was passionate about Art History, so if I prepare the class in advance, I could also teach that subject. I also like to nourish myself and learn by watching all kinds of series in English. I will be delighted and super grateful to be able to help your children on their learning path.

Ona has been a much better teacher than I could've hoped for. First and foremost, she has the ability to be very adaptable with respect to the way that she instructs you. Whether it be observing and understanding how the student learns most effectively or more explicitly, you can tell what you want to learn and how you'd like to do so. Many teachers, I have found, have a method and stick with it, without consideration of how a student may learn best. That ability on its own distinguishes between what is a good/average teacher and a GREAT teacher or coach. She is also extremely kind and patient (something very important for me, as I tend to struggle!), which makes learning something difficult and a bit exhausting at times, much more enjoyable than it would be otherwise. S-Tier Instructor!
