I teach English at GCSE level, including language and literature components. This class will provide you with rigorous practice of GCSE-level essays, in accordance with the respective exam boards, and help you build the correct skillset to ascertain that A-A* in your English exam!

My teaching style is mainly practical and conversational, requiring active engagement from myself, as well as the student. The lesson will have active discussion and feedback on practiced work. Students will be given some tasks to do after every lesson, upon which they will be given constructive feedback to hone their skills.

About Me

I would describe myself as an engaging and enthusiastic teacher! My teaching style includes providing feedback to students using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage, motivate, or build confidence in students. I try to maintain a friendly environment in classes where students feel comfortable to share their difficulties and weak points.

Currently a third year B.Sc. International Development student, studying through distance learning at University of London with academic direction provided by the London School of Economics and Political Science. The distance aspect of this course allows me to allocate time for, both, work and study.

I work one to one with primary, secondary and ESL students. Academic subjects I teach include : 11 + GCSE: English language , English Literature , Science ,Geography and Biology and English At A level .My lessons consist of monitoring, assessing, and re-mediating my student’s performance. I undergo a risk assessment process with my students and implement comprehensive lesson plans that address their strengths and weaknesses. I Identify and select appropriate resources to meet each student’s needs and use integrated worksheets to vary lessons and consolidate concepts. My students all have designated files which I keep in a specific file structure. I run a cv clinic for my mature students as well as assisting them with their job applications and offer interview support. I also provided lessons via Skype when on placement abroad.

I have created a curriculum to develop reading skills for small children. It provides children with the knowledge of phonics sound, blending sounds and reading words phonetically. At the same time children will be taught words that cannot be read using the rules of phonics. For every stage parents will be provided with learning outcomes and the assessment of the child's achievement.
