Pooya
Piano teacher: concert piano student [English, German, Persian]Are you looking for a piano teacher?
Hi! My name is Pooya and I am a music student and live in Vienna. In addition to my studies, I teach children and young people from the age of 6. So far I have only taught beginners, but I am very interested in teaching intermediate and advanced young musicians as well. I try to prioritize understanding my students and how they connect with music.
Patience is part of becoming a good musician, but it's also much more about loving and understanding music. I would love to share my musical knowledge with your child and teach them pieces that their heart desires.
I would be happy to come to your home to teach. Contact me if you are interested and have availability times. Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
Jovana
Conservatory instrumental pedagogy and also concert subject student is looking for students.Dear future student, I wish you much success. I have been playing the piano for 13 years. I believe that for good practice you have to master the theory. Children learn best through play, while adults learn best through example.
Karoline
Piano lessons for every age - from beginners to advancedHi, I'm Karoline! I have a Bachelor of Education from the University of Music and performing arts Vienna and have been teaching for several years.
Whether you are a complete beginner (of any age) or have been playing for many years - my lessons will be customized to fit you personal needs and goals. For me the most important thing is to pass down my passion for the instrument and music and to teach you how to be confident with your instrument.
I can also prepare you for exams (i.e. entrance exams for a music university) and teach lessons in music theory and ear training. In my lessons I like to occasionally use methods from elementary music education, which focuses on musical expression. That way you can practice to express yourself and your feelings on the instrument and the typical fear of mistakes is being avoided.
I teach in a beautiful room with a grand piano near the Belvedere. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
I look forward to meeting you and making music together! :)

Katie
Piano or theory teacher for beginners or professionalsI can help students with their piano exams and theory exams.
I also have experience teaching beginner students.
My goal is to inspire people with music so that they find joy in playing an instrument and in the lessons. I also aim to make every student coming out of the lesson feel motivated to practice and want to do their best.
John
Professional jazz musician teaching jazz, blues, funk, R&B, pop, rock, latin and classical piano.I teach online via Zoom, using software which allows you to see the exact keys I'm playing on my keyboard.
My teaching method is to focus on whatever type of music the student loves most, and to build from there. I believe that many people give up their dream of playing an instrument simply because they aren't inspired enough, so my goal is to instil a love for music, whatever that means personally for each individual student.
Everyone learns differently and has their own pace and rhythm. I have some students who like to have a regular weekly or biweekly lesson, and others who just get in touch once in a while when they have digested the previous lesson and feel ready to build on it. Whatever the case, I am very flexible and we can figure out what works best for you.
A bit about me:
Originally honing my skills on the British jazz scene and holding residencies in restaurants and bars around the country, I then went on to tour the world playing on cruise ships, hotels and festivals. I returned to London to complete my master's in jazz piano at the Guildhall School of Music, and during this time performed regularly at Ronnie Scotts, The Vortex and many other venues across the UK. I then spent two years in South America learning about salsa and Cuban music. I now mainly work as a transcriber, writing sheet music for all instruments including full Big Band scores. I have also worked extensively in musical theatre, most recently as musical director for 'Jersey Boys', and on the first US national tour of 'Summer: the Donna Summer Musical'. The video shown below is from my stint playing and directing 'After Midnight', a show set to the music of the Duke Ellington Big Band.
