About Me

I studied Musical Studies at the Javeriana University. My main instrument is the piano and I also give classes on musical initiation, theory and harmony, composition, music theory and ear training. I have experience with students of all ages, from babies to adults and I really enjoy teaching and learning from them. I have also had experience teaching people with disabilities and have been able to observe the effect that music has on their development and well-being.
I currently work as a music and English teacher at a school.

On the other hand, I have a passion for languages, which is why I have studied English, Portuguese and German. I consider that music is one more language, because, like the others, it allows us to communicate in a different way and say things that perhaps we could not say otherwise.

These classes are designed for students with different knowledge of piano, from beginner to intermediate - advanced. Normally I use the Faber Piano Adventures method, useful for all ages and levels, but another method can be chosen depending on the learning style of each student. We start with pre-reading, introduction to the staff and reading of scores. You will learn in a fun and effective way how to read music. Also, comprehensively, you will learn about music theory and ear training. Additionally, you are free to propose songs of your liking, to learn them along with the method.
