I am a highly motivated and academically accomplished teacher. I have a background in photography/photojournalism and gained my TEFL certificate whilst working full-time in a customer facing role. I love to travel and although originally from Scotland, have been living in France for the last 3 and a half years.

I discovered a passion for teaching when I moved to France and was faced with the enormous challenge of trying to find work in a country where I didn't speak the language. I know first-hand the difficulties of living somewhere you don't quite feel like you fit in.

Fortunately, my French has since improved, but I love being able to help others get to a place where they feel comfortable speaking in a language that is not their own.

Have you dreamt of reading Shakespeare and making sense of his words ? Did you know that some Shakespearian plays are easier to tackle than others ? In this class we will be looking at one of Shakespeare's fantasy comedies or one of his tragedies. We will read the play together and discuss the usage of words, as well as its historical contexts. We will study the most important passages in the way they have influenced world culture. I encourage my students to memorise these passages by heart, a gratifying experience.

The courses are both practical and theoretical (grammar, pronunciation, writing texts, improvising and thinking in English, etc.) thanks to my career as an actress and also marketing / the business world (master's degree in Marketing Communication & Languages and the experience of international companies). I use improvisation techniques, communication etc, and in my lessons, each lesson is personalized to the student and his needs.
Taking lessons via SKYPE/Facetime is a fantastic way to learn, flexible and very intensive, even more so than a face-to-face lesson.
