I am a Math and Physics tutor specializing in school students of all ages. I primarily assist graduate students in SAT, IB, and A-level Math and Physics. In my classes, I focus on providing personalized attention, with only one student per session. I strongly believe that every student requires a unique approach. To effectively teach someone, it is essential to understand how their mind works and then determine the most effective and convenient method for their individual needs. Teaching is one of my hobbies, and I offer my knowledge and skills to help students succeed. My name is Farris, and I am currently a 3rd-year Aerospace Engineering student studying at TU Delft. I have a strong international background, having lived most of my life outside the Netherlands and at international schools. Upon completing my secondary education at The International School of The Hague in 2020, I began tutoring students from the school who struggled with mathematics and physics and have been doing so ever since. My tutoring sessions often follow quite an unorthodox approach. As a younger student myself, I struggled massively with mathematics and physics at a younger age, mostly due to issues with focusing and understanding, as well as being diagnosed with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). Over the years I developed methods of dealing with such issues, and it is those methods that I use in my tutoring sessions to help students progress in their academics. I live near the Rotterdam Centrum area. Tutoring sessions can happen at my house, at public locations (Rotterdam Central Library), at the home of the student (depending on location), or online on a call. I'm a Physics student currently living in Rotterdam. I've teached Maths, Physics and Chemistry since my last year of Highschool, trying to adapt my method to the student's needs. I can prepare for specific exams or I can revise the contents given during the year in order to help to understand better all the concepts. I am currently a third year student in pre-med at Erasmus University College, and a second year in mechanical engineering at TU Delft. I am proficient in teaching in English and can explain stuff in Dutch, but at a slightly slower pace as it is my second language.
