Ciao! I’m a native Italian speaker with international experience, and I truly understand how intimidating it can feel to start from zero to learn a new language, or to want to improve but feel stuck. I’m also passionate about psychology, and I love sharing practical, ready-to-use tips to help you memorise better and learn in a way that feels easier and more natural.

My lessons are relaxed, but efficient and fully tailored to you. We focus on real-life conversational Italian, leaving space for guiding you to practice speaking from the start, but always with no pressure and plenty of encouragement and support. Ciao, I’m Beatrice. I’m originally from Milan, and I’m a native Italian speaker.

I’ve lived and worked in international environments, mainly in England and Switzerland, and I’m deeply curious about people, cultures and the inner processes that shape how we learn and grow. This curiosity is what led me to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology alongside my professional work.

I’m a reflective and empathetic person, with a strong interest in people, psychology, personal growth, and philosophy, as well as learning about different cultures. I’m also drawn to spirituality in a grounded way, and I practice yoga and meditation as tools to stay present, centred and connected.

I value calm, considerate and meaningful conversations, and I’m inspired by spaces like circles, where people can share, listen and feel seen without judgment. Outside teaching, I enjoy learning, reading, travelling and spending time in nature.

I bring this same presence and care into my lessons, creating a space where there’s no need to perform, just room to learn, explore and grow at your own pace.

You might wonder why I teach both languages. Well, I am bilingual, with American and Swiss/French roots, and I currently reside in Ireland. My teaching journey began during my time studying social work in French-speaking Switzerland. Some simply aspire to acquire a new language to enrich their general knowledge. I also specialize in teaching younger children, a testament to my educational background and experience.

To the uninitiated, a grammar book seems to be written in another language because the meaning of the words is incomprehensible. In a down-to-earth way, I'll translate the grammar into familiar words. With my tailor-made teaching you will accelerate your learning while having a positive mindset.

You can book a complete course with regular sessions or individual lessons to overcome a specific problem, such as pronunciation or a particular point in grammar.

Learning a foreign language is not a linear process that consists of memorising a list of words, and speaking a foreign language is not an oral translation exercise.

There are two types of approaches to acquiring knowledge:

When asked what year follows 1999, you can immediately answer 2000 without having to think for a long time and, above all, without having memorised each number individually, starting with 1, 2, 3 ... You know that numbers are formed according to a certain pattern. With only ten digits, you can form an infinite number of numbers and always know which number comes next.

When it comes to the alphabet, words and sentences, it's more or less the same, but school pedagogy, school textbooks and regular lessons still follow the rote learning approach. In the lessons I propose, you will learn to use patterns because this is more efficient and faster.
