I completed my GSCE's, A-levels and Bsc Biomedical Sciences in the UK before moving to the Netherlands where I completed my Msc in Oncology and continued my PhD in cancer research. I have a passion for science and would love to share my knowledge via tutoring.

My method of teaching involves explaining the content in an interactive manner and summarizing relevant key points to digest the information better in order to prepare for exams. In the first meeting with my student, we will pinpoint what help the student requires and based on that I will prepare a plan to work towards a set goal.

During my PhD I supervised both bachelor and master students to support them with their internships. Overtime, I realised that I enjoy explaining the basics of biology and the translation of these basics into their experiments. This helped them eventually to see the bigger picture and gain a better understanding of their project. I would like to apply these skills now as a tutor in both biology and biomedical sciences.

I have a Master's degree in Life Sciences Engineering from EPFL, after obtaining my Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences Engineering from EPFL with an overall average of plus 5/6. I offer one-to-one tuition or tutoring in maths, biology and chemistry from secondary school level to high school (maturité). I can also help with the preparation of marked assignments/tests.

These are subjects that I work on a daily basis, in which I have always had excellent results, and in which I am used to helping students in difficulty.
I base my teaching mainly on solving exercises progressively, to understand where the difficulties come from and to be able to work on them. This also helps to establish an excellent understanding of the theory as well as a very good repertoire of ‘typical’ exercises, which are often required for graded homework.

I'm a good listener and I adapt to the student in order to understand their perspective. This allows me to approach problems from an angle that suits the student better. A more intuitive understanding of the theory, combined with a gradual and regular approach to exercises, gives students self-confidence and enables them to really improve in the long term!

I'm very comfortable using webcam so I offer this support online! I use Zoom and a tablet which allows me to write and present the lessons directly on the student's screen.
