I've been a vocal coach for 12 years here in the UK and have coached for TV on ITV's Mamma Mia, worked with West End and Broadway performers as well as taught at two of the UK's most prestigious drama schools, Italia Conti and LAMDA. My work is rooted in form and function backed by the latest research in vocal science and I teach in an informal, encouraging and easy setting so you feel supported and like you can achieve anything you set your mind to. While the work is serious, the way we learn won't be - singing should be fun as well as a challenge! I teach beginners through to professional, so everyone is welcome.

Hey I'm Claire! Somewhere between technique and expression, between what you sing and how you sing it, there’s the sweet spot where artistry meets vocal science. And that’s where I live. In Nerdville.

12 years of coaching, god knows how many voices, and I’m still fascinated by the way the human voice works—how small adjustments can unlock so much freedom.

Whether it’s guiding a singer through their range, helping a speaker build vocal stamina, or geeking out over the acoustics of vowel shaping, a subtle shift in resonance, a technical adjustment - my work is all about making voices feel as good as they sound. Jawa (1996) a Syrian oud player, singer and composer.
I was born in Aleppo, and I grew up in Damascus, Syria. I started playing music at the age of eleven. I chose the Oud as my instrument because my father used to play it everyday at home when I was young. My name is Eman, I'm a certified Voice & Speech Therapist at Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt.

- Cysts on the vocal cords, growths that aren't cancer.

B) Neurogenic causes: organic voice disorders that result from problems with the central or peripheral nervous system innervation to the larynx that affect functioning of the vocal mechanism, such as:
- Vocal tremor.
- Spasmodic dysphonia.
- Vocal fold paralysis.
- Vocal cord paralysis or weakness.

2- Functional causes: voice disorders that result from inefficient use of the vocal mechanism when the physical structure is normal, such as:
- Vocal fatigue.
- Muscle tension Dysphonia or Aphonia.
- Diplophonia.

Experienced teacher of Oud and oriental Arabic singing for over 11 years, I am Lebanese and currently residing in Germany. I studied for 8 years at the Lebanese National Conservatory. I taught at the Casa Beethoven Academy in Lebanon and gave private lessons. In addition, I was conductor of the Loubnan Assalam oriental orchestra for over 5 years.

My recommendation for learning the Oud is to start with the study of notes and musical notation before tackling pieces. Although some students prefer to play songs directly, understanding the basics of musical notation allows for faster progress in the long run. With determination and hard work, significant progress can be made in a year, allowing one to play simple melodies.
