My flexible, tailored approach to teaching places an emphasis on satisfaction through learning, developing skills and repertoire while having fun! I enjoy teaching at all levels, from beginner to advanced. My background as a jazz guitarist carries through to all styles, including pop, rock and classical. My PhD in Music from City, University of London gives me a depth of musical understanding that informs and embellishes all of my teaching.

I am a highly experienced teacher of guitar, ukulele, music theory and composition; I've taught at secondary schools and lectured in music theory and composition at university. My flexible, tailored approach to teaching places an emphasis on satisfaction through learning; I love teaching at all levels, from beginner to advanced. My background as a jazz guitarist carries through to all styles, including pop, rock and classical, and it's the variety that inspires and motivates me. I offer tuition in grade exams, where required, and I am an Associate Teacher at Richmond Music Trust (RMT), London. I have a PhD in Music from City, University of London and continue to be active as a composer and performer.
