I teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age. I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.

I am Dimitrios, I am a greek professional guitarist. I graduated with a masters degree in Jazz guitar from Conservatorium van Amsterdam and also studied in the UK conservatory of Leeds. As a musician my primary focus is jazz music but I also often play other styles like soul, Rnb and more. So far in my teaching career I have had experience with many different ages, from 7 to 40 years old and I think I have managed to pass on to them some of my passion for music. Whether you want to learn to play your favourite tunes, learn to improvise or get some in depth knowledge about music theory and harmony we can work out a suited lesson plan for you. Happy to teach any level and any style from rock to jazz and electric or acoustic guitar. As every person learns differently, my approach always depends on the student and what you want to get from the music and the guitar. Learn the most common chords and be able to play your first song after just 1 lesson! You will build a solid foundation in guitar playing through carefully selected songs that you get to choose from. Once you get the hang of the fundamentals, you get to tell me which songs you want to learn during our lessons to expand your skills and become more proficient, and I will teach you how to read and play your favorite songs like a master! After learning the more common chords and basics of guitar playing, you will learn about strumming patterns, finger picking, and tabs through the songs of your choice. One benefit of this technological world is that we can find almost anything online if we know where and how to look, which includes most of our favorite songs. All you have to do is give me the names of songs you would like to play, and I will work my magic to help you achieve that goal.
