I am Louis F, a guitar, acoustic guitar, and keyboard teacher, passionate about teaching and music since childhood!

In addition to online lessons, I also teach at a music school in Manchester, United Kingdom.

I have around twenty years of experience as a guitar teacher, from beginner to advanced levels, both in Portuguese and English. And of course, I continue to study. Currently, I am completing the last level of Jazz Guitar Training at the Municipal Conservatory of Guarulhos.

I have played in workshops and events, as well as being involved in audio productions and music for Brazil and abroad.

The course that I propose is BILINGUAL FRENCH / ENGLISH, as well as 2 BOOKS.

Age and musical taste are not restrictive when in the program, you can with qualitative daily work (not quantitative) quickly observe your progress.

Here the pleasure of playing music is put forward.

The kind of music you love most will be the focus of the course, their codes and secrets will be the focus of our study, that's what I want to share with you.

We can do technical lessons and simply learn together how to play one or more songs of your choice or mine, enrich your game with this approach and your repertoire!

(For example, We can re-arrange the pieces and make them more original by approaching the system (CAGED), and enriching their chords, resulting in new positions, new techniques and new sounds, using arpeggio techniques rather than strumming for 4-chord pieces, voicing and fingerstyle techniques, in short, expanding the instrument's playing fields and playing skills to keep progressing in your game and improve your rehearsals ...)

If you make a request, this program is obviously accompanied by the pleasure of learning more in theory and being able to directly apply new knowledge on its instrument and identify its common or rare use in the pieces discussed in class.

Folk or classical acoustic guitar.

The teaching philosophy is adapted to the level of each individual, according to the pace of work and motivation.

For example, for beginners: Technique of the plectrum or fingers, coordination and correction of the right and left hand. Learning basic chords, simple themes, simple rhythms, reading tablatures (...).

For intermediaries: development of rhythm, construction of chords, writing of tablatures, basic notions of harmony (...).

Depending on your goals, you can learn, if you wish, to play 60 to 80% of current music from the first lessons, which often use the same chords and the same techniques. The objectives take into consideration the following points:

I help students start playing real music early—often within the first few lessons.

I’m a professional pianist with 12+ years of teaching experience and over 7 years of international performing (Switzerland, Austria, Iceland, Spain, and worldwide on luxury cruise ships).

Whether you’re a complete beginner or returning after a break, I tailor each lesson to your goals so you can progress efficiently and enjoy the process.

I started piano at age 6 and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Classical Piano Performance. I’ve also taken part in many masterclasses and studied with outstanding pianists. My background includes classical, jazz, blues, pop, rock, and chord-based playing.

About the Lesson

I am a patient and dedicated piano teacher, working with students of all ages and levels. Every lesson is tailored to your goals, learning style, and musical interests.

I teach a wide range of styles, from classical to modern music (jazz, blues, pop, etc.).

I can teach you reading sheet music or playing by ear, depending on your preference and goals. I can also help you improvise and create your own music in the styles you enjoy.

I also have strong experience working with students with ADHD and dyslexia, adapting lessons to make learning clear, structured, and engaging.

I focus on healthy technique, musicality, and effective practice habits to build confidence and avoid tension or injury. I also help students develop a technique that prevents common issues such as tendonitis, which is very important for long-term playing. You’ll also receive support outside lessons, including answers, feedback, and video explanations when needed.

I prepare students for ABRSM and Trinity exams (Grades 1–8 and Diplomas), but I also teach students who simply want to enjoy playing. My students range from age 3 to 75+, and all make meaningful progress.

Online lessons are just as effective as in-person ones. I use a professional multi-camera setup and high-quality audio so you can clearly see technique and movement. Most of my lessons (95%+) are taught online.

Curriculum

There is no single method that fits everyone, so I adapt all materials to you.

For beginners, I often use Alfred’s Basic Piano Library. For classical and jazz development, I work with ABRSM and Trinity syllabi. I’m always happy to use other methods if you prefer.

Alongside structured materials, I include music you enjoy and focus on essential skills that apply across all styles—from classical to modern music.

I offer lessons tailored to your needs and level (working on repertoire from different styles). Of course, the joy of playing and learning is central!

Depending on the different pieces we work on (and following your wishes, of course!),
We will cover the different playing techniques (strumming, fingerpicking, playing with a pick, etc...), understanding the guitar fretboard (chords, triads, inversions, scales, CAGED system, etc...), and if you wish, different notions of harmony, composition and rhythm, to understand the construction of music.

About me :

I am a guitar teacher in several schools, and a professional musician, having gone through the conservatory (guitar, contemporary music and jazz, harmony and arrangement), the American School of Modern Music, and I have taken lessons from many teachers since my childhood.
I now have several years of experience as a guitar teacher, with many students aged from 4 to 70, in many very different contexts, including in prisons with beginner inmates.

I am an active musician, producer and guitarist for Como Como, the Silk Skin Lovers, and also bassist and guitarist in several Jazz-Fusion and Alternative Rock groups.
I am also a music producer, with good experience in computer music and mixing if that's something you're interested in!

Ma particularité est le gospel.
J’ai fondé une section musique dans mon église évangélique où il y compte déjà plus de 10 élèves.

Je m'adapte à l'élève selon l'âge, selon le souhait des parents (très strict, pas strict du tout, entre les deux), j'enseigne avec solfège ou sans selon la demande. Très souvent je travaille la moitié du temps sur des morceaux et l'autre moitié sur des chansons (accompagnement+chant) si l'élève aime chanter. Je ne force jamais à chanter, c'est la demande la plus courante mais évidemment on peut se concentrer sur la guitare seule. Je travaille avec les guitares sèches, folk, électrique (si l'élève n'est pas très avancé pour celle-là, je ne suis pas grande spécialiste de l'électrique), avec les doigts ou avec le médiator ou les deux. J'ai un choix de recueils de morceaux que j'utilise selon la personnalité/niveau/style. 2 fois par an j'organise les concerts d'élèves suivis de goûters: grand moment de bonheur et de partage. Mais c'est évidemment si l'élève le souhaite, je ne force personne.
Tout cours annulé à moins de 24h est dû.
Les cours à domicile de l’élève. Dans l’impossibilité de faire le cours à domicile de l’élève je propose de donner mes cours au studio métro Europe.
