Hello! My name is Samantha and I am a native English speaker from Canada. As a trained linguist with plenty of experience teaching/tutoring English, I am well-equipped to tutor students of any age or level of experience.

I have worked with learners of all ages - from kindergarten to university students, and I've taught students from all over the world! I believe the best way to learn a new language and improve your skills is by practicing with a native speaker. I provide my students with the opportunity to improve their reading, writing, speaking, comprehension and conversation skills and to help them feel confident and comfortable in English.

My name is Samantha and I am from Canada, and I currently live in Mulhouse, France.

I love travelling, meeting new people, trying new food, exploring beautiful places and experiencing new and different cultures.

I am a very friendly, outgoing and easygoing person who loves everything about learning new languages - I have taken some German, French, and most recently, Sign Language!

I have a degree in linguistics and am trained in teaching English as a second language. I have worked with learners of all ages - from kindergarten to university students. I've taught students from all over the world!

I believe the best way to learn a new language is by practicing your skills with a native speaker, in an interactive and immersive way. I provide my students with the opportunity to improve their reading, writing, speaking, comprehension and conversation skills in a judgment-free, safe and pleasant environment.

Education

I received my degree from the University of Victoria, where I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics, with a focus on language and speech. I have future plans to pursue a Master's in speech pathology.

As you saw in the previous column, I propose to teach courses in the following subjects:
Mathematics: I adapt courses according to the person, his level, ... I prefer exercises that are a way to understand the course more quickly.
Physics: Same as for mathematics
English: I favor oral expression which for me, lacks being treated at school.

PS: I am a student in DUT Thermal Engineering and Energy and I plan to integrate an engineering school for next year.

Student in performing arts with a very good level of French language, I offer an aid to learning this language, or homework that would be written. I am twenty years old and have already helped to give courses of this kind.

I can also help in other subjects, depending on the level of my student. My goal is to advance my students without overburdening them, and that they understand what they have to achieve and the skills to acquire, especially in their French classes but also in their other fields of study.

I am very available and I will give absolute priority to the well being of my students so that they can study in all serenity. I will privilege good understanding so that we work effectively. Preferably I go to the home of the people who contact me. Very patient, I will also answer any questions that my student might have about his classes.

Mathematics are technical courses and often difficult to understand so I want to help in this area.
It's the same for English lessons, my method proposals are made according to the needs of the student.

Student in Master ESS after a course in communication, I had the chance to make many trips including 1 year in Denmark as a volunteer in a boarding school and 6 months in Canada.
I am thus fortunate to have a good level of English B2 / C1 and can accompany you or accompany your primary and / or college children in English but also in French (15 in the oral of the French bac in 2014) or in History-Geography.
During my year in Denmark (2018-2019) I taught FLE to 2 classes (equivalent to 4th and 3rd level), so I am able to teach it.
